Perfect bank. I own and operate Stardust Automotive Inc in Jacksonville, NC and I’m the number one engine builder around. I HIGHLY recommend this place! I absolutely adore the employees here because they are genuine. They handle my business accounts and personal account perfectly. No issues ever. I enjoy talking with them for a bit even after I’m done with whatever transaction I’m doing. I have enjoyed getting to know many of them and them getting to know me. It’s a clean and friendly atmosphere too.

I've been a member since 94 and have had very little problems. However I will say that their phone services are absolutely horrible. Good luck getting anyone on the phone, EVER.

Marine Federal Credit Union has successfully become the most difficult financial organization to work with that I have ever encountered. Having been a member for over 20 years I can safely say that the only reason I am still a member is they have made it near impossible to close the account from abroad. I retired and moved to Florida 2 years ago. I recently contacted the call center to inquire about closing the account. The first gentlemen, wanted me to create an online account so that I might be able to close my account (don't think so). The second individual kindly informed me that I could submit a letter over their secure mail (also have to create an account of different sorts) with my request to close the account. Finally, when it was all said and done I was informed that closing the account would incur a $3 fee for the cashiers check they would mail all in order that I might obtain the $5 retainer along with the remainder of my funds. I have finally decided that I will execute a withdraw of all available funds from a shared branch and Marine Federal can do what they want with the inactive account and the $5. I am guessing this was their intent all along (keep your money in their organization at all cost). Highly recommend the use of Credit Unions as they typically are beneficial to the members however, steer clear of this one.
