15$ is what You're expected to spend if you have a card. Big guy upstairs shaking his head at this "ShakeDown".

I want to start out by saying that I'm still giving three stars because I have found some great items at this thrift store and I want to at least give credit where it's due. That being said I will never be returning. There have been a few things here and there that have rubbed me the wrong way. Particularly one older lady who I've heard be extremely condescending to people at the register on multiple occasions. But the kind and respectful employees have kept me coming back.Today was the straw that broke the camel's back.I was looking around and could hear the entire conversation happening in the back room. That conversation was a woman trash talking customers for shopping during a tropical storm. One of her comments being a sarcastic, "Oh you know they just haaaave to have those deals..." You could hear the eye roll in her voice. This is a hurricane area, many of us are used to the weather around this time of year. I'm far from ever being unsafe, frankly hurricanes terrify me (especially since they can spawn tornadoes) but right now this is nothing more than a bad rain storm.Like I said, I've gotten some great items here and I'm thankful for them being open and the service they provide. However I just can't continue to spend my money here. You can see from my other reviews that I rarely leave bad ones, but sometimes it just feels necessary.

The store has a great selection of items, and the staff are all very helpful! Can’t beat the prices, either, especially the furniture deals! Will definitely continue to shop at the IOP thrift store

I haven't been to all the thrift stores around yet, as I don't go to town often & often don't have the urge to splurge, but if the 3 or 4 I've been to in JV, this is the 1 of those 3 that I have been to the most & like. 1 of those 3 I won't go to ever again & the other is if I have to. This store is clean. Usually fairly priced, though some items recently are higher than I think a thrift store should be. I like the dressing room here. Has a thing to hang the clothes on, & a chair. Oh, & it's clean, too. The staff are all volunteers I think. The ladies at the counter are usually nice, though I have heard a confrontation or 2 from other customers. The customers are the ones raising their voices at these old ladies though. I don't understand why it's such a big deal for them to not use their phones at the counter. There's a sign at the counter asking them to please not do so. There's also a sign that there's a surcharge added to card (debit & credit both I think) if the total is less than $15. So if you're a light shopper, bring cash. My only complaint is that they close at 5pm. It would be nice if they were open till 6 or 7pm.

It took me a while to collect my thoughts as far as what to write. Here goes. The person at the counter was very cold toward me as compared to the other customers. I am a young, non religious person with tattoos and an alternative look, and I was using an app on my cell phone. I think all those things combined caused the staff to take an unpleasant view of me. There is a large sign at the checkout counter asking not to use cell phones. I took this as, don't make a call at the checkout counter--and I wouldn't, that's rude. But the store was library level of silent and i made too much noise with my phone while shopping. I am very sorry for being noisy but I am the exact same way at library book sales and have never been asked to be quieter during those. It is a shame because there is honestly a nice selection of merchandise and the prices seemed fair, at least as far as what I got to look at before I felt so uncomfortable I had to leave. I hesitate to give anything such a poor review but I have rarely felt this unwelcome at any store.

I'm not sure what's going on at this store recently, but the prices are outrageous. Even a month ago, they sold at fair prices - maybe not dirt cheap, but fair. Now, many items are listed well above retail value, and the rest are just ridiculously high for a thrift store. If there's a new person pricing, it may be time to retrain them. There were multiple people in there complaining about the pricing when I was there, and the person working was challenging them as to why she felt that they were wrong (politely, not rudely, to be clear, but she was standing firm in the pricing.)This thrift won't be around for long at this rate, and that's a shame, because it used to be a place where folks could get decent items at a decent price while supporting a good cause. Two stars for now, because I believe that they can turn this around if they want to. I will edit in a month or two if anything changes.

They're very selective as to who they are going to be nice to when you come in. Unless you "look religious" , the service is terrible. Really hostile towards younger people. The selection is stale but the prices are good. I was completely ignored when I walked in but as I was on my way out, two older ladies came in and got much better treatment than I did... Use that information however you please. I'd recommend going somewhere else, where it's more open minded and the old man behind the counter won't follow you with his eyes.

Been coming to this thrift store for 4-5 months at least once a week. I've bought very little. A few dvds/books.Because they are a flat rate. EVERYTHING else is CLEARLY priced via eBay. So if you don't want to wait for shipping... Few thrift stores I can say is worse than goodwill out of the thousands I've been to. This is one of them.

The staff is not exactly the nicest. In general just not really a pleasant place to shop or visit.

Fabulous thrift store! All the clothes are checked prior to display for stains, tears, missing buttons, etc. Also all clothes are pressed before being put out for sale!! It really shows cases the products well. And considering that most of the staff are volunteers and they are extraordinary, super helpful and friendly. Availability of products is updated daily and their prices are not only reasonable but consistently fair across-the-board.
