Fully recommend:I brought my chicken to see Dr Lewis due to an eye injury. Dr Lewis and here staff were very professional and did a thorough exam. I felt very comfortable with her assessment. Dr. Lewis is the only person who will be seeing my flock in the future..

I have been taking my fur babies to Academy Animal Hospital for over 30 years. They have always taken great care of my dogs. The staff is always friendly and professional. My border collie, Lillie, has some anxiety issues and they are wonderful about helping her feel comfortable. She loves to see everyone there. Lillie is currently receiving laser treatments for arthritis. It has definitely helped her to walk better and longer. Recently, Lillie had a tumor on her ear. They got her in for surgery within two weeks and did a great job. I highly recommend these talented and compassionate doctors to take care of your pets.

Reliable, professional, competent, great in every way! We've taken several of our pets to these doctors and always had a wonderful experience. They know what they're doing. No appointments so there is always a wait but they are worth it!

We have never had a better experience than Dr Lewis and her staff. Yes it's walk in only, but the worth is always worth it. She's so compassionate, understanding and explains things about your pet so you fully understand.

On 2/22/22, my puppy Levi was having trouble breathing and was very nauseous. We called about six different vets/animal hospitals and none of them would take Levi in without an appointment. Academy was our lucky #7. They were taking walk ins so we were able to check in at this location. The wait was about 3 gruesome hours as there were a lot of patients. When they took Levi in, we all initially thought he ate something that blocked his intestines. Boy, were we all wrong. Turns out Levi had a diaphragmatic hernia. His stomach was pushed through his diaphragm and up near his lungs, pushing all his organs. The vets told me this surgery was so complex and the nearest people who can help me is two hours away. Academy called multiple vets nearby who couldn't perform the surgery. Our last resort is to let Dr. Torres perform this surgery in which she's never done before. After two hours, Dr. Torres and the staff were able to successfully save my fur babies life. I was told there were three doctors and five vet technicians in that operating room. I'm so grateful the staff did everything they can to help my boy. After surgery, they printed out directions for us to go to a 24 hour emergency hospital 2 hours away near Raleigh. They pushed Levi out in a stretcher and helped us get him in our car. After Levi was discharged from the emergency hospital, Academy realized from faxed records, that the hospital forgot to send Levi home with antibiotics. Academy called us right away and told us they filled the prescription and we can pick it up whenever. I'm so glad the staff is attentive and very good at their job. I can not thank Academy Animal Hospital enough. They are the only people in town who you can depend on when there's an emergency. You guys rock!

So I took my dog here today for her yearly shots and to get her nails trimmed. I was definitely a little worried because my dog, Luna, is a big girl and HATES getting her nails trimmed. Michael is one of the assistants who helped us and he was absolutely wonderful during the whole thing and all the staff who helped out was wonderful. Definitely will be coming back!

Wish I could give 0 stars. This place is ridiculous. Went in 6 different times to get 1 form done correctly so that my husband and myself were able to PCS to Hawaii. Another visit I was there I asked for a form to be copied two more times and the vet tech sighed at me. Very unprofessional. My dog needed to be sedated for a test, the vet tech came into my room and said it'd be $30, come to check out of the appointment and was informed it was in fact $50. Lastly when I needed a form signed for a breed verification I was charged $100 for a signature on a piece of paper. So I'd recommend going to this place if you're a billionaire and enjoying paying $800+ per visit. The only thing this place has going for them is that they take walk in appointments. That's it. Everything else about this place is absolutely horrible.

My dog developed a cough over the weekend and I was concerned he had kennel cough. My regular vet was booked for 2 weeks and suggested I take him here. So that what I did. And I am glad I did. The vet quickly diagnosed my dog and prescribed the medication he needed which was great. But what impressed me the most was how efficient and friendly the entire staff was. My dog is very social and managed to jump up and say hello to every single person he and they all loved on him back. The assistant who got us settled In the exam rooms was super friendly and helpful and the vet was also. She answered all of my questions and took the time to discuss my dogs breed (Boykin Spaniel) with me. Checking out was quick and simple and when I mentioned I was a little anxious about taking my dog to the car because he is a puller and sometimes I can't hold on to him, they immediately had someone walk him to my car. So if you need a vet in a similar situation, this walk in hospital is your answer. I will definitely use them whenever I can't get in with my regular vet.

I recently moved north from Wrightsville Beach to Jacksonville. I called to inquire about their pricing for heart-worm prevention testing and a rabies shot. I was informed that a $42 office visit is required for any service at their facility and "in this area." Wrong. Looks like I'll be commuting to take my pet to A Country Vet in Wilmington where I'm not paying for an unnecessary evaluation of my healthy adult dog - just the technical services required. Also, Onslow County Animal Services offers a vaccination clinic. Save yourself the time and avoid this place.

Just moved to Stoneville and read good reviews online with this vet clinic. So made an appointment Today Dr Combs did the annual check up on my Dal. The entire staff and Dr Combs was great. Good to know I have a good vet clinic to go to in this area.

Lewis Vet is the best around! My sweet Millie has been going to them since she was 8 weeks old and now she is 3. This past weekend Millie came down with a horrible sickness and Dr. Price provided excellent care! I was so scared and Dr. Price was there to answer all my questions. I thank Lewis Vet for doing all they could for her! They truly care about the animals and I highly recommend them!

Watched a dog bleed to death as they asked for money. Would not want anyone here to care for my dog.

We've been waiting in the parking lot for 2 and a half hours and we still haven't been seen. I am fed up with this place already.
