I've been a customer for five years and have been treated like a valued customer. Dennis is always friendly and gives me ways to save on my heating. Every one in the office is down to earth, friendly and very professional. I've recommended Thompson Gas to my neighbors and a few business associates.

So far Thompson Gas is a great company to do business with. Friendly staff and they do what they say they are going to do in a timely matter. I recommend Thompson Gas 100 percent.

They have a sign out front that says "Propane Filling Station" That's a lie. They've been filling my 20lb tanks for 7 or 8 years. That's over. Tried to get 2 tanks filled last week. Office was locked up. Called in case they were in back and eventually a lady answered the phone, was rude and told me they were closed all week. Stopped by today and there were at least 3 employees and the manager standing around. Wouldn't fill my tanks. I was inconveniencing them apparently. Told me to go to the hardware store. Don't do business with these clowns.

Changed to a different company after a year because the customer service was never there. During the year I went to get a 20lb cylinder filled that was still in date. I know this because I used to fill propane with my old part time job so I understand the stamps on the cylinders. The man tried to charge me extra to have it tested since it was out of date, when I told him I knew the stamp he would not speak to me the rest of the time. As if he was embarrassed that I caught him in a lie. I looked pass this because I knew I was never coming to Thompson Gas Kenly ever again. Back to what brings me here today. In september of 2020 I asked them to get their empty tank since I no longer use Thompson Gas Kenly. After many phone calls begging them to get the tank they did after 21 days. The next month a bill for $75 came. I tried calling to speak with the Kenly manager Chris. The woman told me she would leave Chris an email. A second bill came for the amount. I once again called to speak and ask Chris about the bill. After the second time the woman told me she would ask the manger Chris to drop the charge. A third bill came for the same, I once again called to speak with Chris the manger to find out why I was still getting this bill and why he had never gotten up with me. Chris finally called me after three months later telling me he admits he was wrong for not calling me in the beginning to fix this or explain things. After going around and around he says that he wants to make this right by dropping the bill to just $35. I told him the time to try to fix this was three months ago. Chris says he is going to put in a request to drop the $75, but I do not trust him. I do admit I got ugly and not proud of how I spoke to some people, but the staff in Kenly is joke. Thompson Gas should look for new members to represent their company in the Kenly branch.
