THIS PLACE SUCKS
Here, have a one star. My first one star review comes here, and here's why.
Having been to over a hundred DGs, this is the worst run one I have seen. There are actual aisles COMPLETELY blocked by stuff that you can't even go down them. THEN, it is so dirty and dingy that I am surprised there are not critters constantly running around. As if that wasn't enough, I was with my GF and we got treated as if we were stealing stuff by rude employees who watched us heavily even though we were shopping. I got sodas. That's it. I did not steal, and yet they treated us poorly.
DO NOT shop here. You will regret it. It is by FAR the worst DG I have been to. Shop somewhere else at all costs!!!!

I love that Dollar General can be convenient and has some unique items that you can't find elsewhere, but for months and possibly even years, it looks like a bomb went off in this place! I find it to be a safety hazard to shop with merchandise falling onto the floors and boxes blocking the aisles. Corporate needs to pay a visit to this store and get these people some help!!

Stood in line for 15 minutes while the cashier talked about her dog with a customer. She even called another employee to the counter to further discuss! People were waiting and obviously frustrated. This isn’t a socialization space. It’s a store where paying customers want to be checked out in a timely manner. Stop talking so much and do your JOB!!!!

This store is very close to my house. Today after church I dropped in to grab a 6 pk of Pepsi and I noticed there were on sale @4 for $13. I get up to the register and they range up $5.25 each. The cashier went and check the signage the. She got Amanda. Amanda went and pulled the sale stickers down and walked back over and explained that the sale went off yesterday. I mentioned that since signage was still posted I should get that pricing. She explained that when it is a vendor sale they are not allowed to override it. She then found a digital coupon on the DG app for 3 for $13. Which obviously wasn’t near as good as what was posted but I was getting irritated so I just agreed to get 3 -6packs. Amanda was having to undo what was rung up and manually go in and it was taking quite some time and I was honestly just ready to get home so I did apologize to her since I also work with customers and I am honestly a good person. I do know we can not explain to customers like they should understand behind the scenes what goes on with stores and their vendors but I also know that Amanda was honestly trying to satisfy me while there was a line forming behind me. She had someone else begin to check out the other customers while she continued to figure out the total for my order. When she was finally done I was getting my 3-6packs and telling her that again I apologize for being short with her when she insisted that I take the 4th 6-pk. I told her that I didn’t want to take it because I didn’t want her to get in trouble. She re assured me that she was working on getting me the price advertised when I first walked in the whole time. She went over and beyond and although I wasn’t happy to begin with I was when I walked out of the store in Kernersville NC located in N. Main Street!!

The dollar general is a quick run when you want to pick up necessary items for home. Most prices are low to the norm at other stores. I do like that they have a dedicated dollar aisle. I don't want to pay one, three or five at the comparison dollar store that really isn't a dollar any more. The cashier was the manager of the store and she was mildly helpful. The reason I state that is because I had to figure out the issue with my coupon. The only reason I really refuse to shop on a regular basis at dollar general is because it is always and I mean always full of stock in the aisles. It is difficult to navigate the store with a basket, I completely give up if I have to purchase so much I need a cart.

Always nearby right in the neighborhood! Recycle bins is locked now can't get boxes for packing & moving. Went inside & asked if I could get a box that had just been stacked for recycling inside but the answer was No. Find another place for recycling boxes for moving

My first time in this location and I didn’t have the app or was aware of coupons but Amanda was super attentive to let me know all this information and it was nice conversing with her. Clean location too, I will definitely be back.

Went to Dollar General on N Main for the first time today and Amanda and Antonio were so patient and helpful! My $5 off $25 coupon would not add due to the app glitching and she was so kind enough to take the $5 off for me. I worked at Dollar General 2008/2009 and still appreciate the low prices and love how many more products and coolers they had at this location. Will be coming back again!

I like the selection of merchandise. Unfortunately the isles are always so crowded with stock waiting to be put out that is can be hard to navigate them.

I moved here from Texas and I thought it would be difficult to find what I was looking for but in fact it was the opposite. It was very friendly and warm in the store. I would go again

I don't live in Kernersville and did not know the layout of the store. I was in a rush and asked the cashier, Amanda, if they had the product in question. Instead of getting the usual answer of "If we do they would be on such aisle. " Amanda took me to the product. EXCELLENT! She did invite me to take the survey located on the receipt. I will complete it soon. Unfortunately, I had to return one of the items purchased. The manager (forgot her name) was equally pleasant. It's no other way to sum up my experience other than saying Customer service at it's best! Great job ladies. I will be returning because of the customer service.

This dollar general has consistently been terrible every time myself or my wife go. The aisles are never stocked, there are boxes upon boxes of things piled up in the aisles to be unpacked and stocked but they never seem to get any stocking done. The employees are incredibly rude and unprofessional. They’re always standing outside smoking and when they finally come back in they smell like smoke and half the time are on their phones or yelling to another employee to come help do something. Just outright unprofessional, and the overall experience is terrible. I know not to expect a target experience at a dollar general, but I also think it’s reasonable to expect employees to seem like they care at least a little bit, and for boxes to be cleared out of the aisles and stocking be at least half way complete. Most of the time the item we go in for isn’t on the shelf and it has to be due to the apparent stocking issue. Whomever is in district leadership needs to pay this store a surprise visit and see for themselves!

I have currently been working at Dollar General on N Main in Kernersville an I have to say it's been one of the best jobs I've had...The manager Michelle is amazing since she has been there in 2 months she has cleaned our store up tremendously she teaches you hands on she doesn't just throw u under the bus an expect you to do it an our team are awesome Gina an Kristie an Eddie are so amazing to work with Gina an Kristie have taught me so much an what it feels like to be treated as family...I love being apart of the Dollar General Team!!!!!
