This is a great facility for all seasons. They offer a plethora of group exercises both on the floor and in the pool(s). They have a top-notch gym, and the best of it all is the outside pool with a separate splash/shallow pool area for very young children. And it's all part of your membership. A seasonal membership at any community pool is $400+, so for mw, this only is a huge money saver. I absolutely love it that they have several umbrellas there that provide shade for parents who do not use the pool. It's always brimming with people and children, and it's very popular among the regional YMCAs. Last time we went to the pool, one of the donuts on the rope course in the outside pool was missing, which makes it impossible for children shorter than 5.5. ft to complete the course. I hope that as good stewards of the facility, they will take the time to fix it.

My family and I just became YMCA Members while visiting this YMCA Location and this is the First time my family and I ever went to this YMCA and while living in Forsyth County and or whenever we are again we will always go to this YMCA. They have so much to do for Kids and People Age 2 and up, It's Clean, Refreshing so much for kids to do and even classes and activities for adults by far our favorite YMCA in the county . And this YMCA Location is a great place to go swimming for Spring and Summer Break .

Erin Johnson and Darryl Head---Am I also banned from Kernersville YMCA? Does Erin still blame me that her black boyfriend quit her? I

The Kernersville YMCA is the best pool for lap swimming in the Triad. One, it's not crowed like others, so you rarely have to share a lane. You can always walk in and grab a lane. Two, the water temperature is always perfect for lap swimming. Lastly, the staff and management are super nice.

I’m very disappointed in my membership so far. This is the only place in our city that has indoor basketball courts. The problem is, the basketball courts are hardly ever available to use. If they are available it’s some random time during the day, for example from 3pm to 5pm. Nearly impossible for those of us who have regular 8 to 5 pm jobs. Paying $90 month for a family membership with the main purpose to use the basketball courts has been a waste. I’m sure they’ll reply, “you can use any of our other locations.” I get that, but I joined so that I could use my local location at least most of the time. I wish that they would make improvements in this area. I really don’t want to cancel my membership.

Love the pools. Swimming, the gym, and a healthier diet have helped me lose 90 pounds in the last year. Its all about what you make of it. Loves this facility!

My family had a terrible experience with their summer camp this week due their lack of care and attention to my daughter. My daughter was in 90+ temperatures because all campers were expected to remain outside all day. My 6 yo daughter was expected to use a Porta Potty used by campers. Often times the Porta Potty was already filthy by noon. When asked if my daughter could use the inside facilities due to her difficulties with using the Porta Potty I was told the Y could make these accommodations. It didn't happen. Adults who picked up children were told to have password when picking up the kids. No one ever asked for the passcode. In reference to the above complaints the Y chose to provide illogical excuses for what occured. I hope after this week the Y makes children's needs more of a priority.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LIKE PLAYING BASKETBALL , they got rid of the second court , changed it into a useless crossfit room one half of it and the other half is a multi purpose room I THOUGHT would be used for pickle ball and kids classes etc. BOY WAS I WRONG the basketball court IS NEVER free unless its nighttime with a million people trying to play basketball on one court when of the main baskets is broken , I can never go in and play basketball anymore , absolute idiocy , cancelling my membership , waste of money.

Awesome place to work out at and for family activities. Love that they have child care for while you're working out. Also they offer assistance to familys with lower income at a huge discounted cost! I had a friend that needed assistances, which saved them over a 3rd of the over all price which helped them tremendously. I love all the activities they have available for my kids and all the different programs they offer members. Over all a wonderful place to work out at, and I love the Jacuzzi/hot tub! I Highly recommended the YMCA in kernersville nc
