Jerry took care of my taxes and did a fine job. My 2 star review reflects their $400 fee for doing the simplest of returns and is a statement on H&R Block fee, not Jerry. Jerry knocked it down to $300 so kudos to him.

Terrible service. Incompetent preparers. No attention to detail. They copy your drivers license when you start the process. All W-2's and other supporting documents have your address on them. I'm married but separated. All cell phones keep a log of calls made and recieved. I mention all this because they have all the information required to prepare your taxes and means to contact you.They prepared my taxes as SINGLE causing the IRS to deny my return. After waiting 3 months with no info about my return I start asking questions. Turns out H&R Block King knew my return was denied weeks before and never told me. They have 3 ways to contact you and none were used. They say they called me 3 times yet my phone log shows no calls from them. They completed my return again.My return was supposed to be direct deposit. Turns out it was not. A check was sent.They put the wrong address on my return which means the refund check sent by the government had the wrong address.No word on my State return as of this date. Could have been sent to the wrong address, who knows.I wish I had read their customer reviews before I went there. Who knew an H&R Block tax office could be so poorly staffed.

If I could give them a negative 5, I would. My wife already made one review. Here we are a month later AFTER they screwed up our taxes omitting W2s AND a dependent!!! Waiting on our refund and there's absolutely nothing in the irs website for the amended refund. and by the looks of it, we paid 2 separate "prep" fees. I want a full refund from h&r block for screwing up so badly and not making sure it was correct. My wife spoke to one of the lady managers (wont call her out like this) and when my wife asked why she didn't follow up to make sure it was corrected, especially after calling so many times and me going over there several times, my wife got told they were correcting many people's and did we expect them to follow up daily. Wife said no. But she expected it at least weekly. It took about 8 weeks from the time she originally spoke to h&r block about the screw up until the amendment got submitted. Very low professionalism. And we still don't know where the rest of our money is.So, never again h&r block. Never again.

Completely unprofessional. I turned in sone paperwork back in february. Was missing my newest child's birth ceritficate and some w2s that i thought was in hand when i left. After about a month, i got her certificate. We still had about a week left when we turned in all our documents. Gave it a few days and called to see the status. Apparently missing one more paper but they failed to call to inform us. Man said he didnt have my number. But he did. He had called previously to tell me my first round of documents were in the system. anyway my husband turned the missing form in at lunch that day, stayed and got the paperwork so we could sign. (I was working) i read over the documents. They were missing 2 w2s and a childs birth certificate. I spoke to them in person. They had already submitted the forms to the IRS without our signatures. They said they couldn't make any changes now. But they'd make an amendment when thr money dropped. They could see when it did. Ugh fine. Taxes dropped. Received email from h&r block. Expected them to correct their mistake immediately. No. Called about a week later. Guy answer he didnt do my taxes so he was clueless. He said he'd have the man who did them call me back. Never did. Had my husband go over there next evening (im out of town working). Hubby said they didnt any start of the amendment. nor did they have any knowledge our return. By this point, we've had it for about 2 weeks . I called this morning. Spoke to the guy who did my taxes. Couldn't remember me or anything about my situation. I reminded him and the lady in charge had gotten involved previously. This is completely unprofessional amd unorganized. We gave our papers in time. They screwed up with two w2s and lost the copy of my childs birth certificate. Then act like this isnt a big deal. They won't ever get my business again.
