I haven't been in a Piggly Wiggly in a long time, so I was happy to see one. Found a few things I wanted that are not carried in other stores where I'm from. They had a fantastic selection in produce, etc etc. Really nice employees up front. The only thing I forgot to do was ask about a PW tee-shirt since I've forever wanted one. Maybe one day❣️

I would normally shop here daily to grab supplies for dinner on the way home but the food quality has been atrocious lately. My fiancé purchased coffee creamer that was in date yet curdled and spoiled, I’ve gotten energy drinks that were fermented, had Italian sausage that had me puking at 4 am, two nights ago I made chili with this store’s ground beef that gave us all the runs, and today the last straw being these Hawaiian rolls covered in fuzzy mold (don’t even get me started on the fruit).I know it may seem like a “me” and cooking problem but I’ve cooked professionally for seven years to the point I was paid to travel the country to train kitchen staff, I was ServSafe certified, and managed food shipments and orders multiple times a week. I know what food neglect and mishandling looks like and this is it. My guess is cold product is sitting out waiting to be put away on the floor for HOURS (food doesn’t just spoil like this unless it becomes room temperature and then put away), bread shouldn’t be molding like this unless there’s a moisture issue somewhere, and canned product definitely shouldn’t be fermenting when in date.I loved this store but I can no longer justify the money wasted or consistently rolling of the dice on whether my food is rotten or not and lately it’s more often than not.If you’ve been feeling sick lately this place might be your cause.

You can always find excellent deals if you take your time to read the flyer and also the yellow label sale store signs..
Prices have risen but, if you use Manufacturers coupons with their store coupons you can save. Also buy BOGO and Sale items even if your pantry doesn't need it but, might later on and it's on sale now then a wise shopper gets it now while it on sale.

We were in the area on Sunday afternoon after church so we stopped by specifly to purchase the sausage ( hot, sage, mild) to find that they were all out ..I asked the manager if there were anymore but all out how disappointing. ??♀️? don't know when we'll be back In Wilbur North Carolina in a while.
