Of the two Harris Teeters along the central towns I usually head south instead of here. Harris Teeter has the most frustrating self-checkouts of all chains in the entire OBX by far. Considering the other Harris Teeter has vastly expanded offerings across the board I only stop here if needing something while hitting Home Depot or Walmart.

I always enjoy checking myself out while some employee with the personality of radish watches me. No hello or how are you doing sir? No thank you for shopping with us and I hope you come back soon. I'm surprised he didn't ask to see my receipt. I suppose I should consider myself fortunate I need did not assistance from this HT associate. I know now why the parking lot and store were empty.

Harris Teeter is much like a cross between Trader Joe's and a Fresh Market Store. Coming from Pennsylvania to NC I began searching for a market besides the larger corporate stores. I found it in Harris Teeter. They have everything you need as a market. I was very pleased to find the items I needed with little difficulty. Everyone was also very helpful.

I stopped by to look for a cut of meat we use in south Texas that I couldn’t get at the previous store I was at…Chris in their butcher shop was able to hook me up and prep it special for me on the fly. Greatly appreciate the service.

Just a grocery store. The employees were nice but the produce, pricing and selection could have been better. I prefer it over the Walmart Next door.
