Let me just tell you some horror stories about this place and how poorly it treats its staff and customers alike. For starters, Brenda at the service desk does not appreciate her staff and to her you are just there to do the running around for her while she is everywhere else she is supposed to be (likely chatting/gossiping with co workers) THEN she wants to be critical about your work performance in your annual review like she's some saint (no matter how hard you try to do better it's never enough, they don't care) Then there's Stan in plumbing, the self righteous pr**k that thinks he's something big and mighty as a department head when all he is, is a bully and a know it all who likes to hear himself talk. He has major control and attitude issues, and virtually no manners or class. Fun fact: he used to be a cop but got fired because he was shooting deer from his patrol car on duty (true story) So when you check out and fill out that survey on your receipt or online order, give the lowest possible score and mention their names (Brenda and Stan) and let's see how they like it when the shoe is on the other foot and they receive a poor review! This company underpays its people like no other and does the absolute LEAST it can do for its staff, and I'd recommend applying elsewhere before you look here to work (or let alone shop)There are a few great people here that make this store better but a lot of improvement needs to be done, starting with treatment of staff/morale and that lies within some of these so called department "supervisors"

My dad ordered some chairs (while they were in stock), paid for them and without warning or explanation, Home Depot cancelled his order and issued a refund. While the refund was "nice" he needed the chairs and his paid order should not have been cancelled.

I just returned from Home Depot and was so impressed with the service and knowledge of a young man named Daniel, who worked in flooring. He carried my large rug to my car and then told me which aisles I needed for the couple of other items on my list. Meanwhile, he helped my husband with outdoor blinds and setting up an appointment for consultation from HD about our needs. He is a valuable asset! Thank you Daniel for helping us today.

DO NOT USE HOME DEPOT FOR FLOORS!! After purchasing a floor for over 11k last February (2018) , in less than 4 months, it has separated, lifted and curled. I have been begging since September for this to be addressed! Home Depot points the finger at the company they sub contracted work out to which is Romanoff out of Virginia, and they, Romanoff, have not responded to one call and no one wants to take responsibility for this mess. Please feel free to reach out, I'll be glad to tell you all about this horrifically disappointing experience! Do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere for installation!

The Ladies Night on the 3rd Thursday of the month (except December) that this HD puts on is by far the BEST by far! Absolutely enjoy attending!

I attend Ladies Night every month. The staff is amazing and I love that I can learn how to DIY small home projects. Thank you Home Depot for hosting such a great free event and thank you to all that put in the time to make it FABULOUS!

43 years old and the tool rental Department was the worst experience in my life. Staff was nice but Company didn't know how to make the issue right. Spent 15 hours in two days trying to resolve it and it never got resolved. Then they lied and said I had broke an axle. Ok I loaded and moved machine. It was a broke Hydro line. Don't lie to your customers. Never spend a dollar there again. Home Depot Sucks!!!!

I'm a homeowner (rental property) in Duck, and I feel strongly that if we all share reviews on Yelp we can avoid some of the pitfalls of trying to get work done on our houses. I would love to find local companies and workers who are great, or even good, but reliability and professionalism are sometimes in short supply. I used Home Depot for extensive work inside my home, e.g. lots of flooring, and they were fantastic. Brenda, in flooring, got me set up with a huge project, at a great price, even though I had unreasonable deadlines. All deadlines were met, and the workers (sent down from Virginia Beach) were absolutely great. The carpeting company (Romanoff, I think...) had great communication and handled a small glitch with good customer service. So, reluctantly, I have to suggest that folks go with the corporate option. They were great.

This store use to be a really good store but has went to hell in a hand-basket. It's ashame that you stand & wait on an employee who says I will be right there but 10 min later is still sitting on his a** chatting with a fellow employee. Then you go to customer service to talk to a manager you're told they are outside but will be in in just a moment... Again you wait 5 min and the manager still does not come in nor did they bother to her. Can someone please explain to these people the difference between a minute & a few moments!
