Absolutely absurd that USPS wont deliver to Kitty Hawk RV Park!!!
The park has an office & table to receive items and the park staff will sort them. I stay at RV Parks all over the country and this is the only park USPS wont deliver to. Kitty Hawk Post Master take note and fix this. Terrible USPS service to customers!!!

Horrendous customer service. Site says they take walk-in's for passports. Get turned away once there because there is no appointment! Although there were only a handful of customers they would not honor what the sites says. Literally watched them take 5 minutes to complete same service for another customer. Considering there isn't another site offering this service for over an hour and half away- this is extremely irresponsible. Oh and no one answers the phone either! Called for 30 minutes straight! Wish I could have given this a zero star.

I was literally afraid to walk in here after reading reviews... But I think sometimes people walk in ready for a fight, and so that's what they get. I interacted with 3 different employees; each one was helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and courteous. They were looking out for what would be most cost-effective for me and helped me find a solution when the "obvious one" wouldn't work. I'll provide this feedback to the survey they offer at the bottom of their receipt, but I wanted to leave my experience on Google as well to try and balance out all those scary, horrible reviews that may deter people from using this perfectly pleasant post office.

USPS tracking said my package was delivered to Kitty Hawk NC. I went to the Kitty Hawk post office to pick up the package where the person behind the counter told me it was at the Duck Post Office (without checking anything). Wasted 1 hour of my life driving between post offices. 0/10 would not recommend.

Zero faith in this USPS.Went in to ship a camera to someone this week. The attended didn't ask me for my return address, didn't ask me if I wanted to insurance on it. Aside from pushing the buttons and weighing the item I had to do all the work and ask the right questions.3 years ago I had a $3K watch stolen or "misplaced" when sending it to the manufacture for service. I took out insurance and it took almost 4 months to get the insurance money and I had to call all around the country and ended up getting with the head of USPS for North Carolina to get any assistance.If you can send and ship from home rather than going to this P.O. I highly recommend it. Better yet use UPS or FedEx when available when on the Outer Banks.

I'm tired of my packages being mashed up and shoved in to my mailbox!!! The size of the little mailbox hole is larger on the other side ours is smaller!! The box size for her to put mail into is larger and US facing the mailbox is smaller stop folding my packages and shoving them in because if anybody messes anything up of mine hell will be to pay. I live at 1020 Martin's Point Road. I got a wreath for Easter and because she has bent it I have to fix it the mail lady took a package and squished it up and shoved it into the my mailbox!!!!.So now I have to fix it! I should not have to fix the male person's screw up because she bent it up and destroyed it almost.

The OBX USPS is the worst. No matter where you order from if it gets routed through the USPS here it's a guarantee it will be delayed.

We keep getting mail for our new neighbor who is also 406 but a different street. Also USPS tore half of my People Magazine off and then put what was left in an envelope and sent to me!! How nice!! (Being very sarcastic!)

This Post Office is terrible. They refuse to scan packages with tracking in order to hide their poor service and very late deliveries.They also do not answer their phone when you try to call them. Where is the Post Master at this location.??? The idiots are running this asylum. Close this PO and save the taxpayer some $$$$.

Here’s the thing - USPS is a necessary business. All of the negative reviews in the world won’t make a difference, because there’s no one to replicate the service. But DANG, there are some rude individuals working in this place. Minor social niceties go far, yet some people can’t even manage that.
