I have been with Arise for a few weeks; it's something my wife and I are doing together. However, I ended up starting before her, taking evening classes here, and I look forward to her joining me. I am someone who needs a class. Going into a gym and doing a circuit bores me, and I don't have the knowledge to create safe, smart, and helpful programs for myself. I have not gone to a gym for longer than I care to admit. The classes are small, so there is personal attention, and you get feedback on things like your form. G, the owner, is very aware of her group and takes input, adjusting the classes based on what the group needs most. There's a great sense of camaraderie in the lessons I have attended, more than in any other class I have taken. If you are looking for a place to take classes that are adjustable to what your body can do and want not to feel judged, try this place. It's a positive place to do something good for yourself.

I started attending classes at Arise with Giannina a few months ago and try to go at least once or twice a week in combination with my other weight training and cardio. I recently moved to the Knightdale area and was looking for group fitness classes to hold myself more accountable / push myself harder in my workouts. I found Arise online and started dropping in to try out some of the different classes. I have thoroughly enjoyed every class that I've attended and really feel like I'm starting to see a difference in my fitness level. Giannina has a great energy and I really enjoy the group of regulars that attend. There is zero judgement! I also really enjoy variety and she is always bringing in new workouts to try! I have so much fun in her classes and plan to keep attending as a regular. If you are looking for a gym in the Knightdale area, I highly recommend Arise!

I make it a requirement to at least attend 2-3 classes a week (more if I can) as a compliment to my weight training routine. I CAN see myself growing stronger, having more stamina, and becoming more flexible by the week. Giannina is so supportive without being pushy and gives you the space to go at your own pace. You will never have to worry about getting injured either because supports such as yoga blocks, or easier variations of a movement to accommodate one’s level of mobility, are encouraged. Take it from someone who avoided yoga cause it hurt and thought it was just fast stretchy cardio, I LOVE her yoga classes and actually look forward to them. It actually feels healing, my muscles and joints are happier as a result! The regulars are so kind and funny, lots of positive witty banter in her classes! I have never felt judged for my body or mobile limitations. If my belly pops out in the middle of a movement I’ve never felt ashamed of or shamed for it. So hurry up and sweat it out with this fabulous bunch!

Giannina has been my personal trainer for almost a year. I was looking for a gym that catered to women and I have certainly found it! G knows how to find what motivates you and leverage that to push you to be your best and reach your goals. No matter what is going on in my day, I look forward to my workouts with G because it is one hour of time I’ve carved out for myself to work on me, and I get to spend it with such a kind-hearted, inspiring woman!

Love Arise!!! Personal Train is amazing. I have a lot of Health issues and G always planned the workouts out to agonists my multitude of issues. Peaceful, private, individualized.

I have been looking for a gym to belong to and I think I have found the RIGHT ONE! I have been going to Arise Athletics for almost two weeks now, and I am really enjoying it! I have been attending the group fitness classes instructed by Giannina Tessener she is full of life with a warm heart. I chose this gym because they offer a variety of classes yoga which I never tried before but I would like to, full body workouts, dance workouts, they have a variety of weights for strength training. ??AND THEY HAVE BOOTY CAMP LADIES! I tried it last week you most definitely going to build something back there if you take this class! I was really excited when I arrived and saw the row machines were setup it’s one of my favorite machine. So if you looking for a gym with fantastic trainers and gives your body a challenge in many different ways. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ARISE ATHLETES.

G is wonderful! She listens to all of your concerns and treats you like family! Her classes are so fun. I've been here for 3 years and have gotten in much better shape! I don't want to go anywhere else!
