La Mexicanita is located in the heart of downtown Knightdale stood a little bakery with a big heart. For years, its aroma of freshly baked conchas and sweet pastries wafted through the streets, drawing locals and visitors alike to its quaint storefront. Owned and operated by a resilient soul determined to share the flavors of Mexico with the world, La Mexicanita was more than just a bakery; it was a beacon of hope and unity in the community.I still remember the first time I stumbled upon La Mexicanita. Intrigued by the bustling crowd gathered outside, I decided to join the queue, unsure of what to expect. As I took my first bite of a freshly baked concha, my taste buds were transported to a world of sweetness and warmth unlike anything I had ever experienced before. From that moment on, I was hooked. But it wasn't just the irresistible pastries that kept me coming back to La Mexicanita; it was the sense of belonging and connection that permeated its walls. In a world plagued by division and discord, La Mexicanita served as a reminder that we are stronger together than we are apart.Parking: The parking spaces located on both sides of the streets

I was walking downtown on a Sunday morning, and a delicious smell was wafting through the air near Main Street. As I walked past La Mexicanita, I saw fresh sweets being baked, and my mouth started to water! Before this moment, I didn't know this slice of heaven existed, let alone the pure joy that awaited inside. I walked past at first - sometimes it's hard to jump into new experiences - but then decided I had to stop and go inside. I was met by an amazing wall of sweets. I'll admit I know basically nothing about Mexican desserts, but the smell of sugar is a universal language. I decided on two conservative treats I knew I would enjoy, and boy, was I right. After checking out with the nice lady at the front counter, I left and started digging in. Believe me when I tell you that I could not physically hold in the "mmm's" and "so goood's" as I continued walking downtown, treat in hand, to finish my walk. I highly recommend visiting this sweet-treat paradise! I know I'll be back!

Unfulfilled, apart from a king's bagel from before so that they tell me that it is ready in an hour and I have to wait much longer, very bad service ?

This place is so homie. We discovered them when we went to the Knightdale parade and man we were hooked ever since! Their prices are incredible and the variety is spectacular! Can't wait to go back.Parking: There's parking on the road beside the location and on a dirt lot next to it.

Delicious, giant pastries! I loved the way they had you pick them out, stack the tray as high as you want and they wrap them for you at the register. It made getting the pastries an experience all its own!

about a year ago I ordered a cake here & it was horrible, dry, not decorated nicely, sloppy, not even the color I ordered. I was mad but didn’t complain just said I would never buy cakes from here again I use to buy cakes from here and they used to be good. Today I bought bread and it had roach spotting! Disgusting.

I'm so disappointed, ?I just asked if I could wrap the most fragile cookies (polvorones) because on the way home they always arrive torn to pieces, and only wrapped some of them and put the others on top but, they arrived torn to pieces. ??

It’s disappointing to write this, but the last time we were at the bakery we bought different kinds of bread and when we were eating one of the pieces we founded that it has mold. I’m glad we noticed before we ate all of it. It makes me wonder if the bread is really made fresh.
