Sandy Point Resort Campgrounds

Hours: Sandy Point Resort Campgrounds is a waterfront camping location with very affordable rates. It is not a typical, fancy place, as many residents live there permanently. The staff, including the store and rental associates, are described as really nice, professional, super sweet, friendly, and pleasant. The campground offers cabins and campsites right on the water, providing spectacular, endless sky views. Guests can walk out on the pier and jump into the shallow water. The property includes a little, well-kept playground, a great picnic area, and an excellent, well-stocked coffee bar. It is also extremely dog-friendly. However, the property needs to be totally renovated. The bathhouse requires demolition and rebuilding, with complaints of it not being cleaned, and having mold, smells, and debris. Noise can be an issue from renovations, loud early-morning vehicles, and residents. Some areas feel forgotten, and there are reports of minor security concerns and occasional nuisance behavior from others on the property. While some guests have had excellent stays and return for years, others would not stay again.
