Stunning as always! The LLFB is a great place to visit no matter what month of the year. The volunteers do a great job of maintaining the bridge and every Christmas it is decorated so beautifully. Great for adults and children.Dog-friendliness: Small dog area and rainbow bridge
November 2023
We found this at the last minute and so glad we stopped! What a wonderful idea for a decommissioned bridge! It's so beautiful meticulously maintained. Plus, the rainbow bridge for dogs was so touching.

This is a lovely little pathway with all and every sort of thing that can grow, a must see for nature and/ or flower lovers. It's free and worth the little drive to my way of thinking! Would be nice if the water fountain worked. There's also a free book pickup or exchange on site. View of the water is nice.
CELEBRATING OUR 10TH ANNIVERSARY!
The Lake Lure Flowering Bridge is home to 30 gardens and more than 2000 species of plants, lovingly tended by local volunteers. From the Bridge, visitors can look upstream to view the famous Chimney Rock, and downstream where the river flows into Lake Lure, surrounded by the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Creative plant and garden displays change with the seasons. Visitors often comment on the unexpected blooms that appear at unusual times due to the isothermal microclimate of Hickory Nut Gorge. Even in the coldest months, festive lighting invites a walk across the Bridge, day or night. Our unique gardens are free and open to the public all year.
