Laurel Ridge holds a special place in my heart. I went to summer camp here for many years and have also come for retreats. The facilities are top notch. The staff is kind very attentive. The director, Tres, cares deeply for Laurel Ridge and it truly shows. He’s not afraid to step in to help anywhere that is needed, but also does a great job making some thoughtful and tough decisions. I cant’t recommend Laurel Ridge enough, whether you are looking for a camp for your kids or a place for your groups retreat!

I was there for a 5 day quilting retreat. The food was great. They are very accommodating to special diets. We had s'mores at the fireplace one night. We've booked again for the next 5 years.

Beautiful setting and lovely staff. The whole experience was a blessing. We came up for a women's retreat, but i feel like I've found a new fave place to visit!

Laurel Ridge is one of my favorite getaway destinations. The quite and beautiful mountain setting is so peaceful. Even just an overnight stay is enough to relax and refresh you.

The Gemeinhaus is a very special place for contemplation, meditation and reflection. Besides your own meals, most everything you will need is provided. I was able to be still and bring clarity to my spiritual practice. I will definitely come again. Thank you for making it all possible. ???

Super helpful staff. Beautiful mountain setting. Lovely facilities that met our group's needs very well. My only suggestion for improvement is more comfortable chairs in the meeting room. :)

We so very much enjoyed our brief but memorable stay in Friends Cottage! Two nights were not enough—convincing us that we need to return someday. The location ("off the beaten path") and the obvious care with which this camp has been established and maintained are extraordinary. They have designed a secluded setting with just the right amenities for a relaxing, refreshing, and peaceful experience. Access from the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short drive to restaurants, hiking trails, and scenic overlooks helps make this a truly desirable destination! Thanks to the staff for making this possible. See you again one day!

Laurel Ridge offers a beautiful, peaceful space for reflection. Surely, God is in this place. The upgrades at the Gemeinhouse are wonderful. One of my favorite things about staying here is utilizing the wood-burning fireplace.

Laurel Ridge is a beautiful camp. There are several overlooks and the views are amazing. Wildlife add to the beauty of the camp. Every evening during our stay a flock of 15-20 turkeys made their way through the camp, and we usually saw ten or fifteen deer everyday. The small lake is so beautiful and peaceful. They have canoes that make it easy to enjoy. We also saw one guest catch a 4-5 pound bass and a few small bluegill. They have an archery range and a challenging disc golf course the younger guys enjoyedOur group stayed at the Tise lodge. It has a fully stocked kitchen. The facilities, while a little dated, were clean and everything worked well. This fall was our second mini-retreat there, and we are already planning our return for next year.I would be amiss if I didn't also mention the staff. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and welcoming that we felt like family.

Our conference's church administrators had the opportunity to experience this retreat center for our conference event. It is nestled in the mountains and definitely a retreat center. The accommodations and meals were nice and the view breathtaking. I would recommend this location.
