If you’d like to be treated terribly for a couple of hours stop in!Save yourself the time and energy and go to another office that is not a state contractor. These are the most unhelpful people I’ve ever met doing business with the government.

Sorry! They are the literal worst. I have been waiting over 6 damn months on a permanent copy of my license. I’ve gone through Raleigh to have one directly mailed and they claim to not even have it. I called Raleigh and they said it was sent out the day I called and should have arrived. I can’t do anything. I’m filing a formal complaint against this office and the post office.

My experience with this dmv was excellent and highly professional. Unlike the previous management the personnel was very unprofessional and hateful. I have read a couple of reviews of the present management and was very disappointed. It appears that racism is prevalent in the comments given (not all mind you) but it is very apparent that if an African American is in charge there’s always some racist comments made. I truly pray for those that can’t except black people in this country unless they’re slaves.

Renewed my registration online and it never came in the mail. The lady I spoke to in Raleigh said to wait 10 business days and I can either call back and get a new one mailed or go to my local office and pick it up. I went up to this place after 11 business days and the lady tells me no its 14 business days. (By then which I would have an expired sticker) "Unless you wanna pay 30 dollars and get a copy today" No thanks I don't like giving my money to crooks. I called Raleigh immediately when I walked out and she put it in the mail right then she said. Which I shouldn't have even had to do. I paid for the registration and this place shouldn't have made me wait til it was expired to get it.

It took a while to transfer our vehicle from FL to NC and it was expensive $$$$. Make sure to have a NC driver's license and NC insurance before and if you're still paying on your vehicle have the paperwork to show the name and address of the company who owns it not where you send the payments (whoever holds the title). Also you may have to send your tag back to the state you moved from like we did. NC also requires a vehicle inspection 90 days before renewing your tag. Good luck.

I was able to walk in, wait about 10 mins (Thursday about 10 am) and turn in my license plates. Unfortunately 4/5 people in front of me didn't have correct documents/license, or valid identification for payment method. The place needs a deep cleaning. I seen customers get frustrated with the employees, but they were doing their job. My personal experience went fine.

Worst service ever at any DMV in any state -and that’s saying something! Arrogant, unprofessional, not knowledgeable and discourteous. I’ll drive 50 miles just not to have to step into that office ever again. The old DMV offices in Laurinburg (in multiple locations over the years) were wonderful on their worst days compared to this dump and their obviously bigoted manager (and I use that term manager loosely,).

If I could give ZERO Stars, I would because the man in there does not know what he is doing, and that causes him to come off as rude to the customers.

There was a long line when I arrived at about 1pm Wed. The line was barely moving because several customers had problems with their paper work. When those customers left the line moved faster because their transactions were turning in tags or paying in person when they could have mailed the paperwork in. They need to have an Express lane. The clerks at the windows were nice.

To start with, there are two separate lines created in the office. One line is for renewals, the other for title transfers and such. The public was confused as to which line to stand in because the office staff continued to pick whoever they wanted to out of the line to serve them. The older gentleman was extremely rude to my wife and I we stood in line for over an hour. Watched as he chose people of his own skin color that were behind us in line and moved them forward. When we did get up front he tried to move us over because my wife needed to sign the title. After that he marked through her signature and said that she double marked and denied the service. Such a rude employee of the state. He had answered personal call the entire time and left his airpod in the entire time.

I feel sorry for the owner I really do but having 2 lines and one person behind the counter is just way too confusing for the common person this place is slow unclean and rude

I was in and out in lest than ten minutes. Everyone tries to go the DMV to register vehicles between the 1st and 5th of the month when it is packed. Give it a week or go towards the end of the month and you will always get in and out quickly. I saw a lot of reviews talking about attitudes and poor customer service but Ms. Twala was Amazing. She got me a new license plate and two updated handicap placards in less than five minutes. Be kind to those in customer service, it's a tough job but today Ms. Twala made it great. Thanks!

Worst tag office they do not know there job, and yes black people can be racist. This place needs to be closed. If you need anything please go to the richmond county office
