Should NOT be closed during business hours. Says closed for lunch from 1130am-1pm I don't understand why they don't rotate out this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life. Lunch should not take this long either. A hr tops not a hr and 30 mins who takes that long to eat. Nobody does seems very lazily done. Came in hoping to get assistance but no one was there. The number online is NOT for this location it is however the postal customer service. I needed to speak to a individual at THIS LOCATION not the customer service center.

I’m getting tired of not receiving my packages when I order from Amazon the tracking number will say it’s been delivered to the Lawndale post office, but it could be two or three days before it gets delivered to me Not sure what the problem is I don’t pay for Amazon primeFor the heck of it.

Since they don't deliver to a home that's clearly marked with the street number but has no mailbox (even if it did have one, the packages won't fit and have to be taken to the porch), I have to go directly to the post office to pick it up. I've often called beforehand so it won't be a wasted trip but most of the time, nobody answers and when they do, they lie and say my packages have not arrived. I check back on a later date only to find out the person who was working when I called before clearly didn't look hard enough to see the package had been there for days. When I arrive, they tell me a carrier may have it with them even though I have filled out a form to have them hold the mail at the post office. What was supposed to be easy and quick mail, delivered within about 2 days time, ends up taking over a week for me to actually receive because they lose the mail at the actual post office. If they would just deliver it to the address, none of this would be an issue. The Federal Government does NOT enforce their law regarding vandalized mailboxes, so that persistent problem remains a problem with mine, making it impossible to keep replacing it and thus, giving the post office a reason to be lazy. The Lawndale, NC post office has got to be the worst post office in the country. I wish I could give one quarter of a star, but alas, I'm not provided the option for fractions.

Nobody ever answers the phone. What's the point in having a phone number listed if you never answer it. I literally had to send my daughter up there to actually get something done. Then they wanted to argue that they dropped it off at the right house. My daughter asked for a picture and confirmed it was the wrong house. The ladies were extremely RUDE TOO!

I have not been happy with the service. 3 times now they have sent my packages to the wrong address. They don't check my mailbox and I've gotten to where I drop mail off when I leave the house because they never come. I've gotten stuff late because they don't deliver everyday, which I understand it's a small town and they may be short handed but when it's time sensitive information, I NEED TO GET it on time.

USPS never fails to disappoint. They shoved a oversized package in my mailbox that I had to wrestle to get back out. The package was too big for the mailbox door to close so they just left my 200$ package hanging out and exposed. Another worthless and unprofessional Govt agency with no accountability.

Nobody answers phones and they are not there when their hours say they should be. Certified mail wasn't delivered when it was suppose to be. Had to stay outside and chase down carrier to ask about it and she had never seen it. I stayed home all day waiting for it for 2 whole days. They must have postmaster issues.

Not sure where to even begin. I once had a package delivered to my house, and rather than placing it on my porch I found it in the middle of the night in my yard. I've also have had problems with the delivery driver in our area. My house is a bit off of the main road, anf just before you can get to our house you have to pass our neighbors house. So I can understand the confusion at first, but every time I order something they find it necessary to take it to our neighbors pourch rather than taking the extra step to bring it to the propper address. Recently its like they dont bother looking to see if the address is even right! They mistake our mail for others and packages that do fit in our mailbox they deliver to the wrong address and give it to our neighbors up the road. (For context our addresses are in no way alike.) I've called about this problem multiple times, (this is a weekly conflict.) and they show no attempt to correct or justify the fact that this keeps happening.

Worst mail delivery I've ever dealt with. Moved here a year ago and it's just aggravating. I receive informed delivery so I know what mail I should be getting. Either they don't bother coming and delivering me and my neighbors our mail or they put it in the wrong mailbox (our names and house numbers prominently displayed). Heaven forbid you have mail or a package being delivered on a Saturday it won't happen, guess they have better things to do on the weekend. Especially if its a large package and won't fit in your mailbox, they won't deliver it...guess it's too much to ask to put it on my porch. Not to mention before Christmas the mail carrier pulled into my driveway and just dropped a package out the window and left it in the middle of the driveway! Absolutely ridiculous someone needs to hold this post office accountable and make them do their job correctly!

A year ago my review would have been 5 stars! I'm not sure what has happened with supervisors and management over the past 12 months, but changes to the current setup need to be made ASAP.

This post office has hours of operation posted but they come and go as they please. No urgency in anything they do and the lady that was LATE opening up had an attitude like someone owes her something..you're at work so WORK!! And not to mention how they "sometimes" forgets to mail your packages, especially when it doesn't fit in ur mailbox. I guess they're too lazy to walk 5ft. and put it on ur steps..what a crying shame.

Very poor experiences here recently. My normal mail carrier is great! However, I had a package that would not fit in my mailbox yesterday, and they didn't deliver it. Didn't attempt to bring it to my door, didn't leave it on my porch, nothing. Didn't even leave me the delivery slip so someone else could pick it up for me which is INCREDIBLY inconvenient because I work third shift. I wouldn't have even known my package wasn't delivered properly had Amazon not notified me. Called the office and they couldn't give me an explanation as to why it wasn't just left on my step. Went to the post office to pick it up today and apparently they close for two hours in the middle of the day, so now I have to make a SECOND trip to pick it up tomorrow because they won't redeliver it. Such a huge waste of my time.

I mailed a letter to my daughter who’s away at school. The letter was inadvertently directed to my po box, rather than to her address. (The machine that scans the address saw the return address first, because the return address is directly above the address on the mailing label.) The folks at the Lawndale po were very observant to notice and kindly place the letter back into the mailstream, rather than just stuff it in my po box. If I didn’t have Informed Delivery, I would have never known of their acts of kindness. It makes me wonder just how much they go the extra mile every day!

Very poor service rude threatened to hold back baby dibs til next day refused to give me number to make complaint.threatened to call law on me over asking for number.threatened to cut our mail off because I called business an post master was lying to me an got caught.they don't even deserve one star
