The boardwalk walking path (look for the overhead blue sign that says “trailhead” near the parking lot exit is a great partly shaded walk. Not too long, so do a few laps. Lovely river views!

Nice little riverfront park and nature trail. Facilities include a fishing pier, an observation pier, and a boardwalk. The park provides 2 playgrounds and several picnic pavilions. There is an ice cream vendor in the warm months. The park is well maintained, never trashy in my experience.

Found this sweet little spot driving on our way to Wilmington. They even have an ice cream shack. Great day! Even for little ones
