Staff unknowledgeable about products. Recommended a new hair color product and stated it had a 100% guarantee and company will not honor the policy. Product rinsed out after leaving on for recommended time. This company really needs to train their staff about any new products that come in. $96 wasted, you better believe that will be the last time I shop at the Lexington NC store. Very disappointed after being a long time customer who trusts that the people who work there know what they are talking about.

Me and my sister went into Sally’s hoping for help. But that did not happen we wanted to dye our hair and we knew that Sally’s had good products so we walk in and their nice and ask if we need help we said no and went to shop. When shopping we both realized we had no idea what we were doing we both had a couple of color dye in our hands we just couldn’t find the bleach though. So we walked up and ask for help and said we had no idea what we were doing she then showed us the bleach and told us the products in our hair was toner and not dye. So she explained the toner situation and gave us bleach. When we got to the counter she asked repeatedly if we had gloves we said yes and she said nothing else. When we got home though we both realized that one she never told us how to use the product she suggested and two that we had to buy more products to go with the toner that she had never mentioned. In my opinion you should be more worried about if we had everything we had for the product you suggested then worrying if we have gloves so bad. Dollar general had to hook us up with more bleach because the one she suggested didn’t even work. So now my hair is messed up and I have to fix it once again.

So i went and got products to dye my hair with. the lady didn’t tell me how to use the products i got so i went for it and it messes up my hair very bad. I also go bleach for my sister with dark hair and it didn’t even change the color and we left it in longer than we was supposed to. but Dollar General had my back and got my hair looking good. the employees are very friendly but they tell you little knowledge. she was so worried about if i had gloves or not but couldn’t tell us anything about the product. never shopping there again.

I'm giving 4 stars only because the store itself is awesome, and VERY few employees there. The most recent visit really upset me to the point I was about to leave. I walk in like normal and I always expect someone to ask me if I need help, especially if they aren't the regular cashiers. This time I was asked over and over seemed like every minute, I had already told the woman that I knew exactly what I went in for. Yet, she kept asking and somewhat watching me. I overheard her tell another cashier that I was "making a decision", which is fine but I swear I heard her tell the other woman to "watch her". If it wasnt the fact I didnt want to go to another store, I would have told her what I thought. I probably spend more there than the average person so it was uncalled for in my opinion. I've worked retail for years and I would have NEVER acted like that towards someone unless I see them acting suspicious. I wasnt even in there for 5 minutes, hence "I know what I came for"... Unless she can read my mind to know what color I want to dye my hair next....I would have asked for help. Other than that; the store and the other 2 women that know me that work there are GREAT!
