This time was a better experience. the Spanish lady was nice. Great customer service. Got me in and out quick. There under staff. I saw the struggle to serve the customers and handle phone calls. But over all not bad. They really try with how there set up. Just make sure you have all your ducks in a row on your end. Have all your paper work and be prepared. I'd, license, insurance, SS number have two forms of ID. Birth certificate. Bring a bill with your name and address.

I just read a review left three years ago by someone saying no one ever answered the phone at DMV. I have a problem that I need advice on and have tried many times to get a call through without ever getting an answer. All this time I thought DMV is a public service paid for with taxpayer fees, but I must be wrong. There does not seem to be desire to meet the needs of the public. Zero stars.

As far as DMV offices go, this location is decent as far as wait times, actual location and staff. We've been coming to Louisburg since we moved here 13 years ago - we always heard horror stories about the Raleigh location (off of Spring Forest). The three ladies that work at Louisburg have always been polite if not a hit harried - trying to handle phone calls and the customers that are right in front of them simultaneously. Depending on what you need and day of the week, you can be in and out in a decent amount of time. Today, we waited about 1 and 1/2 hours to get my older daughters license renewed - but, she did need have to take the eye test and signs test at the counter. Overall, we'll keep coming here to avoid the mess in Raleigh - now, that's a trip in hell. Arrived there at 6 am to a line of FIFTY people waiting to get in. Louisburg for us!
