This was my second time to ever visit this post office in Lowell North Carolina. I have been working with the USPS for over two years now not only in NC for the past 8 months but home in Texas for mor than a year. This was my worst experience ever! Being from out of town but needing to mail off items from my small business from over the weekend. Today is Monday Oct 17, 2022. I was met at the door just after their lunch break by a hostile male employee. He was yelling at me and threatening me asking if he needed to call the police. He insisted that I “violently shook the door”he stated that he thought I was going to break in. He insisted that I was a problem to their post office. As I apologized several times, I felt the need to acknowledge his disappointment & clarify that he was very upset…I proceeded to apologize continuously. Trying to explain that I was unaware that this post office closes for lunch. He would not stop talking over me and the volume of his voice was raised so much so, in front of other customers. he was the one making verbal threats and disturbing others. Apologizing again, I explained that I was from out of town and not familiar with a smaller post office procedure “closed for lunch” yet, Upon arrival at 1:59 pm, the doors were still locked. As I tried to enter the building and met by a locked door, I shook the door to insure that it was not stuck and in fact it would not open. Thus, I walked back to my car. At 2:00 a minute later I approached the building again and this was when the man unlocked the door and began yelling at me. During this encounter, he never really listened to what I was trying to tell him. He only wanted for me to be intimidated by his presence and his authority. Again, let me be clear…I did rattle the door to insure that it was locked. However, his inability to maintain professionalism was disappointing. His inability to control his own emotions was unruly & I will do my best to never work with this post office again. However, I will not allow one person to keep me from growing my small business in shipping my goods to my customers. I just hope that the right person reads this review so that the Lowell NC post office employees can learn what customer Service is all about. A kind word can turn away wrath! Maybe kindness is the key!

9-13-22 before 12:00 noon, The Postal Website had posted a phone # for Lowell, NC Post Office. When dialing the number listed, the recording said: the number you have dialed is disconnected, changed, or no longer available. I then called the 800 number, which is a robot answering machine. Your answering (robot) machine kept repeating the same options information over and over. I didn't want to order supplies, track a package, nor any of the options given. I repeated the word "agent", however your robot answering machine had 50 different options for me to select. Agent, (or) speak to a person, (or representative, was not one of your OPTIONS. I was on the phone for over 15 minutes. "I needed to speak to someone" at the Lowell Postal Office to inquire if I had (in error) left my keys (house keys, PO Box key, and more) on the table outside my postal box. This is a great example of how my taxpayer dollars supporting the Postal Service is working. Please update the 'correct' phone number on your website for Lowell, NC Post office. The postmaster at Lowell is great, I would bet he doesn't know that your "technical support dept", provides no support at all. Change your "......." recording and add AGENT for a prompt and "actually connect to an "agent" instead of repeating the same "Options" 50 times. I finally hung up. There was no help from your automated system. C.H. Abernathy

I give a perfect review because of the customer service given by Stan at this location. He really assists me in sending my packages out without issue for my small business of luxury soy candles. He deserves all the credit for being a good employee for USPS and seemingly a good all around person.....thank you Stan!

i simply adore this postal outlet. the people are helpful and friendly and there is rarely a wait that lasts more than five minutes. it truly is worth the drive for those who would rather NOT wait at the South New Hope Road Annex or the Main Post Office downtown.
