These people are the worst it took 34 days to get my mom's cremains just to not have the engraving I ordered and no cremains in my necklace I was told over and over they would call me and never did. I think they were paid some if not all by my mom before she passed and Chuck could only avoid looking. Her necklace . Cross necklace was not with her belongings that the morgue sent with her I just hope they can live with their self because they made the worse time of my life worse

I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy! They picked my father up on Sunday and told my mother that they were taking my father to the Lincolnton location. On Monday, they called my mother they had shaved my father. They didn't bother to ask and she hadn't signed any paperwork yet. Their services were $3,000-$3,900 more than the other funeral homes in this area. On Tuesday, we went to lincolnton only to find out my dad wasn't at that location. They told her she had to have an apt. We were given an apt of 1:00 pm only for the director Chuck to call and tell us the apt needed to be moved to 1:30 pm because he was having phone issues. Sure, why not? Your phone is more important than my father's arrangements. I was not able to go and was asked to come on Wednesday so I could sign paperwork for them to determine the beneficiary. At that apt they tried to convince me why they told my father that was less then 250 lbs needed a large casket any why they were $3,900 more than competitors. On Thursday, we still had no funeral sign, book, chairs or anything to reflected we were in morning. My mother and I had to return on Thursday, we told Chuck what we wanted on the obituary, I asked that he send me a draft to review. My mother had to return again for an apt to correct the obituary. Friday morning I receive the draft that did not reflect our request. By the grace of God they got the casket and tell us the body is ready for viewing. My aunt's arrive there 2-3 hours later for the place to be closed. Over rhe course of a week we were never able to call and speak with any of the employees. Each time we had to leave a message and wait for a response. My mother had to go up there every day for 5 days straight. My husband had to rent a car because a family car was not included in the almost $10k price. This was by fair the worst experience of my life. I'm sure I'm missing some but I just wanted to forwarn EVERYONE. The over priced limited service and unprofessional lack of communication is ridiculous. They remind me of a dog chasing it's tail.

Goodin Drum Funeral Home was so great to our family in our time of need. They were always available to answer any question or concerns we had. I would recommend them to everyone. The staff was on top of everything need.
