Self-Help Credit Union is a local financial institution that has received mixed reviews from its customers. While some customers have praised the friendly and helpful staff, particularly an employee named Robert, others have been disappointed with the credit union's rate changes and policies. One customer was looking forward to opening a significant amount in certificates of deposit (CDs) but was deterred when the credit union dropped their share rate by 0.5% the day before the customer was ready to make the investment. Despite the staff's initial helpfulness, this customer ultimately chose to take their business elsewhere. However, other customers have had positive experiences with the credit union, describing the staff as friendly and helpful, and appreciating the free external transfers through their electronic banking services. Overall, the reviews suggest that Self-Help Credit Union provides a generally satisfactory banking experience, though some customers have encountered issues with rate changes and policies.

I enjoy going through the credit union. The staff are friendly and always helpful. I've not had any issues like I have with other banks I've dealt with.

Credit Union is great! Very helpful and accessible. It's great that they provide external transfers within the electronic banking for free ,something I use a lot.
