About Dare Arts
Located on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina, Dare Arts is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to encouraging the arts in Dare County through advocacy, enrichment and opportunity. Our Gallery is located at 300 Queen Elizabeth Street in historic downtown Manteo, North Carolina. Our gallery features original works of art in painting, photography, jewelry, fiber, metals, pottery and mixed media. We also offer workshops, classes, performances, and monthly art exhibitions. We host events all throughout the year too, including the Artrageous Kids Art Festival, Veterans Writing Workshop, Frank Stick Memorial Art Show, and the Surfalorus Film Festival to name a few.

My family and I happened to stumble upon this gallery today and we are so glad that we did. We absolutely loved it! There were so many different, wonderful pieces in a quiet, comfortable space. I left feeling moved and inspired!

Large gallery with a small rotating exhibit on the first floor and a larger one upstairs. Strong emphasis on local artists. Includes wood turning, ceramics, painting, felt. Some of the items can be of interest to collectors of crafts. I don't know if staff was present when I visited, they're perhaps quite discreet.
