I was a good customer of Reeds for years.I called 2 months ago to have my 500 gallon tank filled because it was dropping below 45%. They never showed up and no one ever called me. Now it's 27° outside and we are out of fuel. They have the now it's 27° outside and we are out of fuel. Ever since Superior took over things have been slipping. Now they have the nerve to charge me for emergency call to fill up my tank which was their fault in the first place. Dropping them immediately. I suggest you go to someone else as well.

No one came back out to fill our tank up and they refused to fill up the first time cause the delivery man Said he didn't feel comfortable without them replacing our tank and they never came back and today they were supposed to open at 4pm but they close at 5pm and no answer and no one is there and we have zero gas now thanks so much reed. I have 2 children one is a 7 month old the other is 13 and they are both sick and I can't cook dry clothes or take showers. Not reliable ?

Shout out to Reid Oil in Manteo. So appreciative of their dependable delivery drivers and Samantha who takes orders. They have been a great consistent service for the last 10 plus years of doing business with them on Hatteras Island

Needed our RV filled with propane and we were able to get that done at 4:45 pm on a Friday!!! The ladies in the office were great, they helped us find a campground for the weekend. They went out of their way to help us, Great Customer Service!!!

Have used Reed for 29 years. Excellent service, friendly and professional staff and, from what I hear from neighbors w/ other gas services, Reed is the most reasonably priced.

Very poor customer service experience. While in the process of moving into into a new home where Reed had a propane tank, the company insisted on us filling out information for them or threatened to come to the house and take the tank. The form they emailed us to fill out had to be printed out, signed, and scanned back into an email to be returned because the company doesn't have the ability to do anything digitally (including payments). Being in the middle of a move, we had not yet found our printer as we were still unboxing all of our belongings. So, we were physically unable to do what they were insisting on. Despite this we got call after call within the first couple weeks of moving into our new house. There were no charges due, no damage or concerns of damage to their tank and we assured them that we would take care of this as soon as we could. We simply needed time to get settled before we could get to this one of many things we had on our plate during the move. With each call (three total) the employees became more pushy, snarky, and showed no level of understanding or care for our situation. Ultimately they came and took the tank, which is for the best. I would rather convert our fireplaces back to wood burning or work with another company rather than do business with Reed Gas and Oil.

They are an excellent company to do business with. We have been with them a very long time. The employees are wonderful when it comes to helping the public.
