I’m writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment following a recent visit to your store. I came in to purchase a pack of pull-ups and noticed the only available package in the size I needed had already been opened and was missing two items. Reasonably, I asked a staff member if there might be a discount on the damaged package or if more inventory was available in the back.
What I received in response was nothing short of disrespectful and unacceptable. The employee stared at me for an extended period, rolled her eyes, and said, “I don’t know what you want me to do about it.” I calmly repeated my question, and she rolled her eyes again and gave me the same dismissive answer.
At that point, I expressed my frustration and asked whether it was truly expected that I pay full price for a product that was incomplete. Her response? “That’s what I’m telling you.”
This behavior is beyond unprofessional—it’s insulting. I came in as a paying customer looking for a basic level of service and courtesy and instead was met with blatant rudeness and indifference.
I expect a follow-up on this situation, including confirmation that this issue is being addressed internally. I also want to know what steps your store takes to ensure opened or tampered products are not left on the shelf, let alone sold at full price.

Worst DG ever at Main Street in Marion, NC! Looks like a dump. Embarrassing... no wonder people cannot find anything here. Just go to another DG and save yourself the trouble. The photo is the state of the aisles as current as today! 1/3/25... disgusting

Of course some staff is nice and just doing their job. But there appears to be a large portion of employees here who really are just rude or inappropriate. One cashier, line backed up with several folks, just texting on her phone at the other register and ignoring customers. Asked if she was open, massive eye roll and a “no” followed by her going right back to her phone
Another time, an employee saw for to make totally unprovoked political commentary? Like bro, I just need an energy drink smh
And the store is a total mess. Less organized than a flea market stocked by the town drunk. All around a site to see, but an experience better left alone

Pretty inconsiderate knowing I'm part of the crews to help restore y'all's power for your town and I get denied to use the restroom. Very disappointing

The absolute worst place I have ever entered! The "cashier "was so rude. Looked us up and down when we said is there a key for the bathroom then said it was out of order. Products all over the floor. Nothing properly labeled. African American Hair CARE in a corner near to the register. This is not a store we will recommend or visit again.

It was slow they need more employees this dollar general is poorly stocked ran etc the employees are either lazy or untrained I don't know which bit somebody with some since and a good work ethic needs to get a job there I give 1 star cause I can't give 0

Numerous items have no shelf prices or the items not priced. Was told by a worker when I showed my receipt for Cokes & Dr Pepper 2 liters that charged full price. I said the shelf tag is still up, 4 days past. A lot of places still honor sale pricing when sale tag is still up, not them. I was told( with an attitude) that was on the vendor to pull sales tags. Do they not make a deal to run special pricing by vendors? So if the vendor doesn't work that store everyday, looks like the on duty manager would take care of it. Also a lot of items that are packaged have a dollar amount already on them, so when the price goes up you are overcharged. Keep your receipts because nothing will be returned and refunded without one.

If I could give zero or negative stars, that’s what this would be. This makes the 3rd time over to the time to download coupons & they were not taken off. TO THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR COUPONS/APP NEED TO GET TO WORK. Saving coupons to your app does not work. It only takes them off half the time. Your employees are so under trained, they are unable to help in any way. First time it was $8, 2nd time was $10.50 and this time it was $6. $24.50 May not sound like much, but it is when you live past check to pay check. Especially when you take the time to download the app, save the coupons & go out of your way to shop at Dollar General. I will never go back in a Dollar General again.
