I don't attend classes regularly, but when I do I find it to be a very friendly and inclusive box for all fitness levels, they ensure the participants can perform the movements in a safe manor and scaled to the right level.

This is my first time doing CrossFit, my buddy has been going here for years and I finally signed up. At first, I was nervous wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m glad I signed up. Im 8 weeks in and the atmosphere has been extremely supportive, encouraging and a lot of fun. It doesn’t matter what level you’re at, there’s something for everyone here. I Highly recommended CrossFit Kaiju.

As a complete beginner to CrossFit, the challenging workouts have been intimidating. However, the positive, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere makes me excited to continue pushing myself and keeps me coming back for more!

The CrossFit Kaiju atmosphere and family is where it’s at.I’ve been a member for just over a month and I’m hooked.I’m new to the CrossFit world specifically because I’ve been super intimidated by videos I’ve seen of people doing crazy powerlifting things and copious amounts of pull-ups and box jumps, all of which I am far from where I am at physically. So when I learned that Kaiju has a “reboot” class, that peaked my interest. The reboot class lends itself to people who want to get a solid workout in without the use of super heavy weights, but use more dumbbells, kettlebells, resistant bands and natural body weight. They also incorporate rowing, bicycle and ski machines for some good cardio. The instructors are fantastic! They are all super knowledgeable, encouraging and kind, but they won’t let you slack. lolThe members are all super great folks and are very welcoming.Ages range from 20s-70s! Don’t let your age intimidate or limit you!

I’ve been a member with Kaiju for the past 6 months so want to share a review of the gym and why it gets 5 stars from me. I’ve trained in a lot of different gyms and clubs around the world, first time training crossfit and really want to share my experience with Kaiju in a few different categories:- The space: Great workout space with a central rig/rack and lots of surrounding floor space, olympic rings and climbing ropes. Establishing your own workspace for a workout has never been an issue regardless of class size. The central floor space is surrounded by workout equipment against the walls of the gym that can be moved into position easily if they need to be moved. Olympic barbells of different weight and size, dumbells, kettlebells, olympic plates, assault bikes/runners and ski erg’s, rowing machines, rogue echo benches, medicine balls, skipping ropes, work benches, chalk buckets. There are drum blower fans in position around the floor and shower/toilet facilities with cubby holes for your equipment/shoes etc. There is also a body composition analyser should you wish to assess weight/body fat percentage. And pre/post workout drinks that you can buy on-site via an honesty system (log what you take). The space is great, everything you need is close by and there’s lots of it and arranged in a layout that really supports a good and efficient workout. Establishing your own workspace for each workout is really easy. The gym is located on a country road where the team have marked out different running distances, the road is safe with little traffic, generally in single vehicles and driving very slowly.- Workouts/Training: The workouts follow an annual training plan and by its nature focuses on cross-functional fitness. As a newcomer to Crossfit I was a little slow to join as I wasn’t sure how fit and how much technical weightlifting experience I needed to be to be able to slot into a class. There are a number of different categories of classes, Crossfit ‘Reboot’ is a back-to-fitness/intro class that focuses on stretching and intro to strength/cardio. The ‘endurance’ class focuses more on endurance/sustained training exercises. The ‘strongman’ classes focus on olympic/power lifting and the ‘standard’ classes are the standard crossfit workout of the day. Classes are generally scheduled from 5.30am – 7.00pm so are easy to work around your schedule.- The people: From a coaching and members perspective, the gym really is quite unique in my experience. Kaiju really is a community as much as a gym. The members are friendly and quick to chat before and after workouts, clear the gym together and motivate each other. You can see that there is a group of core members that have been members for years, but are quick to welcome new members to the community, which can be really motivating in terms of attending classes as you’ll invariably end up working with good folks who you’ve met before. There is always a really positive vibe around the workouts with a focus on work and performance once a session begins. The coaches are brilliant, I was surprised in particular how willing they were to adjust exercises/workouts where I didn’t have proper technique etc. in a way that supports technique development but also ensures you have a good workout. They detail out each workout and proper technique for every workout in advance and are very active in walking the floor and managing sessions. This is a really important factor for me as you can be confident that you are getting the maximum from each session, work and technique. All in all, Kaiju is a really brilliant community and training establishment, I would highly recommend to all levels, if you’re just starting or restarting your journey back to fitness or trying to really accelerate your training, there is a space and a community that are ready to support your goals. I tried the free class to start and signed up straight away, now I'm really looking forward to the months ahead ! 5 starts without a doubt from me.

Great gym with great people. The coaches do an excellent job with instruction, motivation, and scaling (when needed). They always make sure you’re using proper form and if you have to make changes they will help structure something different which I’ve had to do a couple of times because they want you to keep coming instead of thinking “I can’t do this today so I’ll skip” - personally I like that culture and couldn’t recommend this gym enough. I’ve used others and this stands out as my favorite

Just started here a few weeks ago after a long hiatus of not working out at ALL. Crossfit Kaiju has made me fall back in love with working out. I was intimidated by the sport but I find with the right guidance (that this gym has) the fear dissipates immediately. I have more trouble taking days off than making myself go. The coaches I have met treat you so kindly and are extremely supportive. The members are just as awesome.I have never felt like I've found "my place" so quickly. I'm actually having fun here and am excited to see what the future holds :) ty for welcoming me!
