Awesome place for records. Clean and chill place. Friendly associates and lots to look at.

Decent selection but a little limitex the shop seems kind of like an afterthought the way it shoved in a corner. As for the comment by the owner it is not the largest nor cheapest record store in the area. Noble Records is two minutes away and has a much larger selection (and often cheaper prices) and Repo Records is 30 minutes away with a larger selection (although not really cheaper)

This is not a store. They are in the corner of an antiques store. They put the records, comics in a small corner. The mint hill location is a bit bigger with the upstairs but both of these places are not a store. No one is ever there only ladies at the front desk. Their prices are high. I saw ACDC back in black for $28 & Van Halen 1984 for the same price. I bought both of them at Mad Jacks in Matthews for $21 each sealed. You have to know your prices or else you will get ripped off. Both of these locations are a hard pass.

I have been coming to both HBR locations since they first opened. Both locations are awesome, especially for the areas they serve. You can hit both locations on the same day and come up with great finds at each. The stock is different between the two, so it makes it a little more fun to dig. Everything used is beyond fairly priced, and in the condition expected upon purchase. Sealed/New records track accurately with retail prices, and are also fairly priced. What sets this shop apart is the connection Dean has with his customer base. He ALWAYS goes above and beyond to get the records/comics/equipment his customers are interested in. Beyond records, each shop has a great selection of comics, collectibles, and other great things to shop for. I rarely leave empty-handed, and always leave smiling. HBR is a Charlotte-Area staple for collectors, and I am always proud to refer them to anyone who is on the hunt for a cool find. Thanks HBR for keeping my turntable spinning!

Visited this location this past Saturday, Dean seriously packed in the heat here. Great selection, ended up with a stack. Both locations are awesome. Records are priced reasonably. I love this place! Happy Picking!

Hardy Boys never disappoints. I had the pleasure of going to this new setup the day it first opened and it was great as always. 100% recommend checking out their selection. Plenty of new records and older ones with a variety of genres so anyone can find something. I always plan to get one or two but end up with about six every time. Hope to see the Boys continue to expand and grow because they deserve it.

Was able to find a great selection of movie soundtracks. Found one waxwork one that is currently out of print. Definitely a hidden gem.
