Lauren, made my morning at the deli by providing the roast beef I needed for my lunch today 30 minutes early. This was truly a first class experience this morning! Thank you again for your professionalism! I hope management and corporate looks at this also.

This harris teeter has the most horrible employees. They don't show any world class customer service. Poor CSM, Manager on duty Jerry is rude, Haley the self checkout cashier is rude. None of those people belong working for HT

They have a few deals. Markdown produce area must not have a good selection, produce dept waits until it rotten and then mark it down. They won't do meat markdown but 2 times. Management is ok but could be better Taylor and Jerry are really strict. No one is at Customer service desk to assist customers. Could have more cashiers at the register and be less strict

Trigger Warning: If you're easily triggered, this is your warning.I've hesitated to post this change in review of Harris Teeter, from ☆☆☆☆☆ to ☆☆ because it is my favorite location and after reporting this to 2 customer service people, I was actually hopeful that their reaction to this problem would be more proactive. Instead, neither batted an eye or probed any further.I recently purchased 2 value packs of ground beef. I opened one, made hamburgers, and put the rest of that package, as well as the other, in freezer bags, in the freezer. About 2 weeks later, I cooked up both packages (mixed together) , and noticed small white bits I at first thought was hard fat that had not broken down. That has happened before, & other than a mild inconvenience, isn't that big of a deal. Only this wasn't fat. It was,TRIGGER WARNINGTRIGGER WARNINGTRIGGER WARNINGTRIGGER WARNINGTRIGGER WARNINGTRIGGER WARNINGupon closer inspection, maggots. Needless to say, it all went into the trash. It was a couple of weeks later before I was back at HT, and I discreetly approached a customer service person & told her about my experience. She said she'd "pass it along to her manager," and went about her business, no questions asked. Okay. I went ahead and did my shopping. Was in the checkout line, when I saw someone else from customer service. Since I felt the other CS person was kind of blase about it all, I told him about the ground beef problem. He said that he would let his manager know, so that they could substantiate it if it was reported by anyone else. And then he walked off. Neither asked exactly when I made my purchase or for proof of it, or if it was the 80%/20%(which it was), etc. I had the receipt, which could have shown them that information. They never asked for my personal information, should the manager have any further questions for me. You would think they would be at least THAT interested, but the conversation with both was over before I even got the chance to show them the receipt. And while I didn't expect a refund, it having been a few weeks and not knowing if it was one or both packages that were contaminated, (at one time, if I'm not mistaken, I think they gave twice your money back), I didn't even get an apology. In thinking it over, that, more than anything, is why I'm downgrading the whole HT experience. Problems happen. But it's all in how something is handled. I've been a VERY good customer at various HT locations, particularly this one. I deserved an acknowledgement of the problem and an apology at the least. And I got neither. I'll continue shopping there, but avoiding the ground beef.

This grocery store offers a variety of bulk bins, allowing me to purchase just the amount I need and reduce packaging waste.

Shopped here today, I’ve shopped at this located for most of my adult life. I live 20-25 minutes away, it’s not the closest Harris teeter to me but offers more than most so I enjoyed the products they have. I shopped there today, and the girl checking me out was either new or wasn’t use to working busy times. She was very overwhelmed which caused her to be short, and when asked questions didn’t even give responses. When I got home from grocery shopping I realized I’m missing my entire bag of protein I purchased . I called to speak with a manager, he personally couldn’t care less and acted like I was either lying or inconveniencing him at work when addressing the missing items. Didn’t even bring up the girls attitude or place blame. He literally said “I don’t see the bag up front so it’s not here” .

I wanted to give a shout out to 2 extraordinary employees at the Harris Teeter in the Matthews North Carolina location. I was an early shopper 4/15/23 Friday morning. It was well before 8 AM. I was trying to get a last-minute birthday gift for a co-worker and I was a little flustered racing for time. However, thank goodness for great workers such as Maria at The Bakery and Troy at the Front Checkout. They were both so helpful in assisting me. Maria came from behind the counter, asked if she could help, offered some suggestions and even engraved the cake for me. How rare is that! As for Troy, he saw me coming with those large balloons and few items at checkout. Out of no where he approached me and instead of me flitting around at the Self Check out, he escorted me over to a register and helped untangle my balloons, ring me up and sent me on my way with a chuckle and smile THANK YOU HARRIS TEETER for having an AWESOME, clean and organized grocery ....and for hiring 2 BRIGHT STARS
