Great customer service especially with how crazy popular these cars are and how disrespectful the customers are. Kind employees with lots of patience and willing to help as I knew nothing about driving a Tesla. Emailing and calling are going to be a dead end, so make an appointment on the app for a test drive during the day time on a weekday and you can get your questions answered then. The sales guys get paid well, but there's no commission. It's not a regular dealership, so have different expectations. The cars sell themselves so they are there for guidance. Thanks for a great experience and happy to be a new Tesla owner!!!

Tesla is definitely a game-changer in the auto industry. Not only are their electric cars environmentally friendly, but they are also sleek and stylish. The performance of their vehicles is unparalleled, with quick acceleration and impressive range. Plus, their autopilot technology is pretty mind-blowing. It's clear that Tesla is pushing the boundaries and leading the way in innovation. If you're looking for a car that's not only good for the planet but also fun to drive, then Tesla is definitely considering

Visiting and test driving was a pleasant experience; however purchasing and pickup was a bit challenging. Things for my registration were changed without consulting me, no phone call or email, it was just changed and this was discovered on the day of pickup.I had questions upon delivery concerning some features of the vehicle and they tell you to put your hazards on to signal someone- I waited for 30 min and no one came. I ended up getting help from someone outside. I’m enjoying my vehicle, just not the process.

Buying a Tesla is a different experience. I've been to a lot of dealerships in my life, but this has been different. No annoying salesman or price negotiation. It's different overall.

Ordered Model Y LR in January 2023 when IRA EV tax credit was still an uncertainty, as was the price reduction down from $65k to $55k. Picked up car from dealership in March. Mine was a Fremont build with Gen 3 hardware. Lead time on new cars in early 2023 was 3 months due to the surge in demand. Model Y was 9th best selling vehicle in US in 2022, Model 3 was 15th best selling. As of November, they are both on track to be 4th and 9th best selling of 2023.My reason for bringing this up is that many of the complaints in the reviews here are from people who had to drive hours to get here, and that is understandable. The next closest dealerships are Savannah, Atlanta, Knoxville, and Raleigh. Basically 2.5 to 4.5 hours in every direction. So I could imagine how that might taint someone's experience from the get go. Just remember that the employees are people too, trying their best to keep up with the service and sales needs of everyone from Winston Salem to Columbia to Asheville and of course Charlotte. Name one other individual car dealership that has to handle selling/servicing the 4th and 9th best selling cars in the country to almost an entire US state's worth of customers.I had a very nice service experience this week. Everything was done through the app. Scheduling, loaner car, and pickup. Error code Dl_a138 Front Motor Disabled at around 2,700 miles on the car. The error code only happened once and the service technician was unable to repeat it.If things change, I will change my review. But for now, I give Charlotte Tesla 5 stars. I am currently ~1,400,000 in line to buy a Cybertruck but I might not need it since the Model Y is roomy enough.

Our tesla needed service done to it, while we waited we took a model x for a test drive. Very nice drive, by the time 45 minutes was up our car was done. Only downside is.....there isn't a closer service station to our house. The staff is always friendly.

I would give a 0 if I could. I have model 3 since May, and have my cruise control only working maybe 500 miles of my 8000 miles riding it. There's always a calibration issue that makes the car not able to use the cruise control. We are talking about a 2023 vehicle without cruise control, a basic speed set. You need to be on your pedal 100% time on high way. I went to the service twice (each with a one month visit), and was told it is not serviceable. This needs a new firmware from Tesla. OMG, not serviceable 2023 vehicle without a cruise control!!!

I've spent approximately $14,000 on maintenance repairs on my Tesla. They want to add another $4,000+ on to it. Which I declined. I haven't had one pleasurable service experience in the 5 years I've owned the vehicle. They will give you an estimate and then triple it when the vehicle is in their possession. They also will decline a loaner vehicle to you, which they have done to me numerous times. Then, they will inform you that they'll provide a loaner LESS than 24 hrs before your service; only after you have already towed it in or decide to make a long drive to their store. I haven't had a good service experience since I got the Tesla, and I promise this will be the last one I get. They're absolutely amazing vehicles, but AWFUL customer service, UNGODLY expense repairs, and charge for retrofitting parts due to how they made the vehicle, then charge us for the newer style difference is not the way to go. Just make it right the first time. If you're going to get a Tesla, make sure you can do your own repairs on it and avoid tesla service at all costs, OR you will be highly disappointed.

24 hours before our scheduled delivery date, they revised the trade-in offer they had for our current car, dropping it by $3,000. Their explanation was that they made us that offer over 30 days ago and were entitled to revise it. I called to speak with them about this, because the delay that pushed us over the 30-day threshold was their doing, not ours, but they wouldn't work with me at all. They gave me a speech about policy and told me that their new trade-in offer was non-negotiable.I told them we would walk away from the sale they were one day away from making on a brand new car, over the last-minute changes they made to our trade-in offer, and they simply said "okay." They didn't care.Every step of the way, this Tesla location has been a headache to deal with. We've had a hard time getting in contact with anyone that works here, we've been bounced around to different employees, with one employee telling us one thing and another telling us the opposite...The whole process has been a headache, and they've made almost no effort toward keeping us as a customer. We rejected their last-minute change to our trade-in offer, and we canceled our order altogether. It was clear they didn't care whether they had our business or not, even as a returning customer. And that's disappointing.

During a recent visit to a Tesla dealership, I couldn't help but notice a remarkable distinction from other dealerships I had visited in the past. At Tesla, the atmosphere was refreshingly unique. Instead of the usual feeling of being aggressively pitched or possibly taken advantage of, the Tesla staff seemed to understand what potential buyers wanted. It was evident that Tesla recognized an issue in the automotive industry and decided to take a different approach. Their approach to hiring showroom staff seemed to differ significantly from traditional sales roles. It appeared that their primary goal was to provide comprehensive information about their products and their benefits, rather than aggressively pushing sales.Unlike past experiences, the Tesla showroom staff didn't swarm me as I entered the lot, nor did they tail me as I left without making a purchase. Instead, they patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions, allowing me to explore the inventory at my own pace without feeling pressured.

I have a Tesla Model S Plaid. It took this dealership having my vehicle in 3 separate times and still not being able to correct the issues. While in service, my Plaid was driven off the dealership to someone’s home overnight who Cody from Tesla, Charlotte won’t say and wouldn’t admit it at first, until I showed evidence of the location having been driven approximately 40 miles. During this joyride of 40 miles, approximately 100 miles off the vehicle’s range was depleted, giving me the indication that it was driven aggressively. When the car was returned back to me, it had dents on the body as well as damage on the front and rear bumpers. It was brought back to the dealership to address the issues and was brought back to me again two separate times with issues not addressed and completely filthy inside and out. The service manager, Cody, promised me that I would be compensated and taken care of for the damages and continued unaddressed issues. I tried to communicate with him and he still has not responded after several attempts of me reaching out. I was promised that he would provide me a message for a compensation due to negligence of addressing the issues properly. I have still not received that message, and he will not respond to my texts or calls. Last month, I was told that my vehicle would be transported back to the dealership and that I would be provided a loaner to address the issue for the fourth time to the rear bumper. Then, just a few days before my visit, I was told that I need to drive my vehicle in (which I’m over 3 hours away from this dealership) if I want any service to be provided for the damages that were caused and not corrected by the dealership, previously. I need someone higher up in Tesla to please contact me back as this is not acceptable, especially for a vehicle of this price range.

After having my car for 32 days, they returned it to me with wires hanging off of it and two body panels not snapped on completely. There were fingerprints all over, zero attempt to wash it. After complaining about the wires, they said it was the tow company. My car was NEVER towed. I drove it in to the service bay myself.

Unfortunately I did not have a good visit to your Matthews, NC Service Center… There seemed to be a lack of empathy and respect from the Service advisor I had. My Tesla has had a thumping noise for a few months. I brought the car in for repair 2 months ago and was there for 9 hours only to be told my car was completely safe and the noise was permanent. I requested that my sway bar end links be replaced, but the technician claimed they were completely fine. Unsatisfied with that result I decided to inspect the car myself. I found a number of parts in my suspension including the sway bar end links that were worn to the point of needing replacement. (The car has 82,000 miles on it, so I was completely okay with and preferred to pay for the repairs in order to give me peace of mind). I again brought the car in to service to resolve my clunking noise and to replace both of my front end tie rods (which is what I thought the noise was). It ended up being my front compliance links that were the main cause of the noise. That was all fine with me, but I told the Service Advisor I still wanted my front end tie rods replaced due to the bushings being worn more than my liking. The Service advisor seemed to comply initially, but somehow ended up telling the technician not to replace them claiming he wanted to “save me money”. I didn’t care about saving money. I live 2 hours away therefore it’s a 4 hour day trip in which I have to take off of work. I didn’t want to have to come back in a few months or even a year. In the end I was there for 7 hours this time (9 hours for the previous visit) for a repair that maybe takes an hour. My car initially sat in the service bay for 3 hours before a technician brought it back into the shop and only because I had to ask if someone was going to start on my car… The service advisor claimed it was already being worked on but actually they somehow completely forgot about a car that was parked right in the service bay in which they monitor. One's experience is all subjective to the situation they have so some may find this review out of line. I am just requesting more transparency and respect when an expensive car company services it’s vehicles. If I am willing to pay for a replacement that is believed to be unnecessary, that is my choice. My Model 3 itself is a great car and I would recommend it to most people. If Tesla wants to continue to be successful, they will need to fine tune their service shops otherwise they will find individuals fleeing from their cars.

Tesla in Charlotte North Carolina is the worst. I bought two Teslas in the past year in each time was a horrible experience with paperwork taken so long and then not giving me everything I need. When I call back to request a bill of sale I get ignored. They said they would send it, but they never did. And you can hardly ever get anyone on the phone. You have to keep on calling.

My Tesla service experience was excellent! Friendly staff who will go out of their way to be helpful. The hours that they are at the service counter is amazing - there is someone there until 9:00 PM! They get in at 7:00 AM - that’s amazing service! And Tesla’s service techs have multiple shifts staying at work till 2:00 AM!Very impressive. Regular service appointments can take a few weeks but they are very responsive to safety emergencies.
