As a local I've been a regular to Living Free Thrift of Mebane. Unfortunately I think it's time to stop. Furniture prices have gotten out of control. The Furniture is donated, and most of the time those donations are banged up pretty good. Furniture used to be $5-$30 max. Now you are lucky if you find a piece at $30. Small end tables run at $45, Just today, a busted dresser was priced at $80!! It's crazy. Clothes, shoes, decor among other things you can find at reasonable pricing...for now. I thought that thrift stores exist to help struggling families find affordable items. Guess thats no longer true. That or at this point it's just greed on their end. They're donations for goodness sake, stop trying to sell them for new.**even if they're working for commissions now, they need to be more considerate.Sincerely,A disappointed customer with hope you go back to the previous pricing in consideration for your supportive customers.

Worst most ridiculous thrift store I’ve ever been to three times they wouldn’t let me purchase an item because they didn’t put a price on it and apparently no managers are ever available probably over priced anyway. ever there is priced like it’s high end consignment. It’s a thrift store and a terrible one. People who are looking for vintage, antique or consignment items go to experts and stores that can afford to hire people are doing not thrift stores. This is neither a good thrift store, nor a good consignment store.

Their prices are getting a little out of control taken in account that all this stuff is donated. They are surely getting huge tax breaks being affiliated with a church. 50% of there help are from men staying at said rehabilitation center.I'm not sure exactly the reason for the huge hike in the product mark up. There are no increase in over head cost for their products still donated. It's simple greed.I bought my grandson overall shorts and they charged me for a two piece.. ?I ask why it was marked as a two piece because it buttoned..( so does shirts, pants, jackets) I just shook my head.. I can't; it's was to aggravating to teach people to count to one..

I bought 4 pair of jeans that look brand new for $20. Best place to go for cloths and don't have to spend a small fortune to get what you need.

Doesn't matter what their ministry is prices are about as high as goodwill. I will stick to randleman and Asheboro who has ministry ran thrift stores where all clothes are $1 each and they don't charge and fees for using cards as they knew the cost when signed up for taking cards.

The only reason I'm giving a two star is because the ladies that on the floor were very nice and helpful. Unlike the cashier( short woman with long curly hair) was completely different. I am not sure because I was wearing a mask on or something else but she did not greet me or did she responded when I said hello and thank you ,but strangely she acknowledge and had a conversation with the ladies before me and after. I won't return.

This thrift store is very well organized. I didn't feel the need to dig for buried treasures. Everything is labeled and we'll placed and organized. Prices were not over the top and in my opinion just right. Today they even had a sale on specific merchandise with a specific color tag, so when I went to cash out it was cheaper than I had anticipated. Staff was friendly and informative. This has to be one of my favorite thrift shops.

Do not go to this thrift store. There are more kind and considerate places to spend your money. If you have a disability or ESA or service animal in particular, you’re not welcome(. Or if you need to still mask for safety so you don’t get CoVId ) .The women at the front desk have been rude to me multiple times for masking as I have an autoimmune disease and the Mebane location acted all through CoVId as if it wasn’t happening. There is no safety divider/plastic as advertised on line as well.I was still willing to go through putting up with their rude behavior and go there and donate or shop there as I really believe in their mission but today was my last straw.I took in (on a least and I’m my arms,8lbs) my new ESA dog for my disability and at no time let her down in their store. They proceeded to gang up on me as I checked out, & even when I showed them my disability card and ESA tag for my dog they interrogated me in front of customers as to why I have one. This is no way to treat the disabled.I got the message loud and clear that in spite of their programs they’re not at all interested in the disabled “living free”.I will be finding a more equitable and non discriminatory place to spend my money and donate items.

great thrift store: clean, organized, and having lots of variety of little gems from books, cds, dvds and furniture to knick knacks and technology toys. not sure what the ranting review is below is all on about the staff are quite nice and can't get any nicer than that.
