I visited today and Renee and Phyllis took care of me and check out. They also noticed I was wearing a THD shirt. We talked about what both of our stores are very good at and what we could do better. Ace hardware is 1 minute from my house THD is 20 minutes from my house. It was fun talking with Renee and Phyllis.

UPDATE:went back today for a metric screws and Peter was fantastic! Don't waste your time wandering the aisles of Lowe's or Home Depot looking for assistance...go here!! There's always a smile to greet you, even a live human happily answering your calls, and a team that really wants to help. Thank you, Peter!
We absolutely love this Ace Hardware location in Mills River. We live closer to others, but we happily go out of our way to patronize this particular Ace Hardware. Their customer service is unparalleled!! When we we go in we get the most wonderful attention, expertise and genuine caring. They never try to oversell you, either. Shout out to all their folks; today Charli was extra special helpful. They never disappoint.

We found what we thought was a good deal on Amazon so I called the local Ace hardware to see what they had on the same mower. With an instant rebate it turned out it was the same amount
Lance was very helpful on the phone and assembled the unit for us and had the battery charging when we got there. Can ask for better experience. I like this store much better than the company store in flat Rock.

Entered store, was pleasantly greeted, Told a Associate what I was looking for and I would like help. Jessie stepped right up and we found my items, he carried them to the casher for me, Asked if he could help in any other way. I said No thank you and he went back to what he was doing when I entered.

For a small hardware store, this place packs a punch!!
They always have what I'm looking for, and if the items isn't in stock, they go out of their way to find it for me.
The employees are always very pleasant and knowledgeable and have tips for whatever I'm trying to do,.
Whether it's gardening or fixing something , they always offer tips and shortcuts to make sure thing go smoothly.
Nick has been especially helpful with helping me locate the right plants snd soil for my garden.
You guys are amazing!!

Five stars for excellent, friendly service and lots of good advice. However, be aware that even if their website indicates that something is in stock at the store, it may not be. Call ahead to make sure. But aside from that, I love my Ace Hardware!
