My son had a contacts fitting here a month ago but had to come back for the class to be able to put them in himself. Unfortunately, due to school, I had to reschedule two times, when we came back today, the lady who was previously working with us, was speaking about us very loudly and inappropriately to the front desk associate because we had to reschedule previously. When I spoke to another lady (manager), who was present, not only did she shrug it off, but her attitude was like an 'oh well, I don't care, next," type of demeanor. We came here for a scheduled appointment today that was made weeks ago since school is out for the kids; no one called, messaged, or emailed me that the appointment was canceled. Then to hear someone speaking with such a nasty demeanor and loud about me was just too much, and then nothing to be done about it, not even an apology is wrong. Very unprofessional and rude staff here. We will not be returning.

Some past reviews on Google and Yelp do not does the Mint Hill location justice. I saw many reviews that the front desk folks were not nice and caused many of the bad reviews. We got there early for our appointment, and they were fine with us. We sat down for a bit and I watched the front desk personnel interact with customers, co-workers and answer phones and never saw or heard any issues. Everyone else was great to deal with. The assistant who ran the initial tests and asked questions was a pleasure to deal with and knowledgeable. Dr. Marissa Ferris was great to deal with, listened to our questions and answered them. It was a very thorough exam. The ladies who worked at the Vision Center explained what frames were totally covered by our insurance and what treatments (progressive levels, blue light protection, etc) were covered by our insurance. They worked to get what was covered and let us know of any and all fees. It was very fair and honest. It was a great visit, and I can't say enough good things, Thank You!!

I used to love this place and we’ve been going for 8 years. AFTER Kim left it went downhill. The receptionist needs to be FIRED. She is rude, uncaring, unhelpful, and dismissive.After how I was treated today, we are going to take our business elsewhere. It’s too bad because we really liked Dr Price.

Dr Ferris was incredible!! Because of her thorough exam my vision issues were diagnosed and I was sent to see an eye surgeon right away. She did her job with incredible kindness and compassion that put my fears to rest quickly. She is by far the best Eye Doctor I’ve ever seen.

My mother has been in and out of hospitals for the last 3 months.. and we had an appointment today. She has to use a walker and today it took more time to get her into the car to get to her appointment. We were 12 mins late, and they refused to see my mother.. This is after my mom almost lost her balance on the uneven sidewalk in front of the place. They was no compassion or willingness to still see my mom. They just told her that they have a policy, and rescheduled her for another appointment in nine days. I really can't believe the refused to see a woman on a walker and made her turn around and leave. This business has no business in Mint Hill. We don't treat 84 year old handicap women like this. SHAME!!!

First time here.My wife and I both had appointments. Saw some negative reviews on Yelp so was a little worried. Noting to worry about here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Ferris was great at explaining things and took great care of us. She talked again to my wife as she was choosing frames to assure her they were a good fit and choice for her. This place is also affordable. Between the two of us we spent less than we have at Walmart, Americas Best and LensCrafters. Over all a great experience. We will be back that’s for sure.

This happened several months ago & I wasn’t going to leave a bad review but I’ve had more issues since then. My son had an appointment and I kept him home from school and woke my toddler up from a nap to go to this appointment. They sent me a text the day before saying something like: looking forward to seeing “sons name” tomorrow for appt.I show up, two kids in tow. They told me since I didn’t reply to the message they cancelled his appt.The text didn’t even give me an option to reply! It had no link, so ‘c’ to confirm. Nothing! Months later I have ordered more glasses for him and it’s been weeks and no call or anything.

This place is a complete nightmare! All staff and physicians are completely incompetent! I honestly don't know how they're in business?! The front desk staff to the back room staff are fake, phony and miserable people who care nothing about your eye care needs! Dr. Ferris claims to be a "specialist " in my eye condition but she is anything but one! She's unable to fit my eyes with proper lenses and expects her patient to wear lenses that are physically painful and says, "There's nothing more she can do!" Haha! Really?! So much for being a "specialist! " I'm pretty sure she's an expert in ripping off insurance companies for sure!!!I'll be filing a complaint with the corporate office of MyEyeDr and with the BBB.This awful place needs to be shut down permanently! An absolute disgrace!Grade F all the way!

Highly recommend My Eye Dr Mint HillCourteous and professional customer service. Front desk (Diana) is a pleasure to speak with on the phone. She always follows through on what she says she’ll do whether checking on glasses or contacts. Excellent service.

Poor customer service and poor scheduling in Mint Hill, NC. I tried to call the office multiple times to schedule and the message kept prompting me to schedule online as nobody ever answered. I made the appointment, it was confirmed, and I showed up on time. When I provided my name and appointment details the receptionist quipped, "someone else is in that spot." She looked at me blankly and didn't say anything else, not "I'm sorry for the confusion" or "can I reschedule you" or anything. She finally just looked away and walked off. Too many places for vision care in my area to EVER use this place for future needs. I'll tell everyone I can about the poor experience I had here. Customer service, and just general politeness IS still expected where I spend my money. Thanks, MyEyeDr. I'll take my business elsewhere and direct anyone and everyone I can to do the same.

Came into this office on May 5 for eye exam. It wasn't until I phoned back on July 12 to be told that the particular brand of contacts that was ordered wasn't available. Not to mention the original doctor that saw me I haven't spoken to but some new doctor whom I never seen changed my prescription. Now they have the nerve to have my insurance on hold as if I received contacts and or glasses. Definitely can use a class on how to work with minorities being as if I've yet to see any working this office. Its a new age. Learn to work with all groups of people. Especially when treated with respect. I expect nothing but the same in return.

I was not impressed with this location. I had arrived for my appointment early, was not seen for 35 min after my appointment time even though someone else came in with a later appointment and was seen before me. After my visit I came back to receive my trial contacts. I already had an appointment scheduled and they told me I was not on the calendar. Once I got my contacts they checked my vision again and I told them that it seems worse than without my contacts. They still said I had 20/20 and sent me on my way. 2 weeks later my vision is still blurry and I can see better without my corrective lenses. I should have looked at the low ratings before visiting this office. I will not be going there again

I feel bad for leaving this review because the Dr’s and staff are great! It’s the front desk receptionist Diana is who makes me give this office a low rating and is the reason i won’t be back. I was also going to bring in my family but that wont be happening now. So I came in today to pick up my glasses and Diana looked me dead in the eyes as I was coming through the door approaching the desk and quickly held her head down as to not greet me. I said a cheerful hello anyway and she said nothing, no acknowledgment nothing…I scanned the room in disbelief and quickly locked eyes with two other people in the room who were just as aware of her rudeness . It caught me off guard because I’ve never seen someone at the front desk so rude upon arrival. She had a cold, annoyed look on her face. She was on hold with someone when I came in so I just quietly waited for her to acknowledge my presence and when she finally saw I wasn’t going anywhere and that she had to address me, she finally said in an annoyed voice it will take a minute. So I just stepped to the side, patiently waiting, so she could get to me when she could. She waited a little longer ( meanwhile she’s still on hold with someone on the phone and she could have kindly said I’ll be with you in a moment) She said again in an annoyed way “I said it will be a minute so just have a seat” in an annoyed way. I finally told her I was just there to pick up my glasses and she finally directed me where to go. Your presence as the first person people interact with is everything when a customer walks through that door. It could be the determining factor if someone comes back again. She needs major training in customer service or perhaps find another job if you hate people that much.

Please avoid this location, billing staff is the most incompetent persons I've ever deal with. August of 2022 went in for a routine eye exam with vision insurance. Optometrist convinced me to use medical insurance over vision stated they're require to cover due to health issue. First big mistake, ok fine whatever. First bill recieved $20.00 no problem, took $20.00 to the office recieved a receipt, all is good, at least I thought. Next month same thing recieved another bill for the same $20.00 call was told yeah I remember your husband and son came in with the $20.00. Ok thought everything was good next 3 months a new bill for the same $20.00 always being told the person I was speaking with took care of it. Until Dec 28, 2022 recieved a bill for 173.80 went called, put on hold while I drove there to find they just put me on hold while the billing manager did nothing but joked around with co-worker. I showed her the problem paid what she said was due recieved all receipts and left confident we rectified this situation until May 18, 2023 recieved another bill for that same $20.00.I can't and will never allow myself nor my son to visit this place for business ever again. I will also be reporting to BBB. This has to stop, today.

Starting with the positives—The girl that took me back was very nice, energetic and helpful. I loved Dr Ferris, great Dr. Gave me a lot of ways to help with dry eyes, even took time to help me find what I needed to order on Amazon! Patient with me while figuring out contacts The girl that orders the glasses was very helpful and nice also.The person in charge needs learn how to treat people ..The office manager!, in person AND on the phone (I had to call back several times about the contacts & glasses) was very , condescending and seemed irritated More with an attitude of it should be “your pleasure” for her to help you! Not like they say at chick fil a …” My pleasure” to help you bc this is my job! I even noticed her having an attitude toward the other people working in the office.
