Cody and Michelle were amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and confident about selling the vehicles on their lot. There was no pressure to make a sale. You had an instinctive feeling that they were being upfront and trustworthy. It's always risky purchasing used, older models but they both were able to quell our fears. Not your average dealership. Duke was welcoming and transparent as they come when I first gave them a call. Once I got there I met the rest of the team. They all were knowledgeable and friendly. What I liked most is that Charlotte Auto Group will not sell a bad car just for money. They take pride in making sure that the car you choose is reliable and satisfactory.
I knew what I wanted and they assisted me with that exact car. They didn't try talking me into buying something that I may not want. Btw, the car selections are incredible. I love me a sturdy Honda or Acura. And today I've got my Acura MDX! My used vehicle met my budget, the carfax was satisfactory, the car was clean and title was clean, the vehicle was well taken care of too. Im so glad that I found them online and called. My car buying experience was great from start to finish. Im beyond grateful a company that still believes in doing great business, its rare these days. This family owned establishment is still standing for a reason, 20+ years, wow, they are the best at what they do hands down. If I would've known any earlier, this dealership would've been the only one I'd shop. They are better than any dealerships I've shopped in the Charlotte area.

If I could give this place, and Doug Glass, more than five stars, I absolutely would. The entire car shopping experience was quick, seamless, and honestly even enjoyable. Doug went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I wanted, and I drove home in a beautiful RAV4 that I’m thrilled with. Sold us an unsafe van, then refused to help once we fixed it.
We bought a used 2015 Honda Odyssey EX-L (VIN ending 9999) from this dealership on November 10, 2025. Within a week, the front suspension failed.
My independent mechanic found:
- One front coil spring completely broken resulting in a total suspension failure
- The other front spring heavily rusted and close to failure
- The vehicle unsafe to drive in its current condition
- Proper repair required replacing both front strut assemblies, not just individual springs
I’ve attached a photo of the broken spring.
I first heard the clunking noise driving home from the dealership the day we bought it. Because my wife is nine months pregnant and the mechanic said the van was unsafe to drive, we authorized the repair right away so we would have a safe vehicle available. The total bill was $1,279.
The van was sold “as-is,” and they also sold us an NVP warranty. In practice, the warranty was unusable: it required pre-authorization, the shop would not work with the warranty company due to payment issues, and the warranty company refused to reimburse me directly. I was told I could cancel the warranty for a $449 refund, but that did not solve the immediate safety issue.
There were other small red flags at delivery. When I went to put our license plate on at the dealership, the salesman (Doug) noticed two sheared license plate bolts, redirected me back inside, and said he’d “take care of it.” When I got home, I discovered the plate was mounted with two bolts on one side only, with the other two bolts broken off inside the holes, causing the plate to flap while driving.
When I contacted the dealership about all of this, they told me they would have fixed the suspension for free outside of the warranty if I had brought it to them first, but since I had already had the unsafe van repaired at my own expense, I was “on my own” and they would not reimburse anything.
Readers can decide for themselves, but in my experience:
- I was sold a vehicle with a serious, pre-existing safety issue within days of purchase
- The NVP warranty I was sold was effectively unusable in a real emergency
- The dealer’s willingness to “help” only applied if I hadn’t already taken responsible action to fix an unsafe condition for my family and would have required towing the vehicle to their shop at my expense.
I’m sharing this so other buyers understand how this dealership handled things when something went wrong shortly after the sale. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Charlotte Auto Group.
