Went in for a correction on highlighting from 2 weeks prior... not a major correction and usually pretty happy and love my regular stylist but this time a few pieces needed touch-ups. The correction was minor and the first time I have ever had to come for correcting. The stylist did awesome and I left pleased. Bella Lago was very responsive and happy to fix my complaint without charge.I am usually pleased with my stylist, however, I do have to add that the most frustrating part is calling for an appointment and checking out...this takes FOREVER!!! Literally timed it and had to wait in a line 12 minutes just to checkin. Checking out the past several visits has taken 15 min plus to check out and make an upcoming appointment. I usually would not comment but is becoming frustrating as it is the same to call and schedule. You hear typing and typing and either waiting in person or on phone for a lengthy period of time. Need a better system of scheduling and checking out.Service: Hair highlighting

Emma did an excellent job. The scalp massage with Aromatherapy oils was very relaxing. She took the time to discuss with me what I wanted for my cut by asking direct questions and making sure we understood each other. I am very happy with the cut and love how she styled it. The front desk staff was very accommodating too.

Feedback was requested by Bella Lago on my recent hair appointment with Denise Allen on Oct. 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM.If I could rate this as a zero star, I would. I have had several previous appointments with Denise for full and partial balayage that turned out okay; however, the last two appointments with Denise have been awful. My appointment on July 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM didn't turn out right. The color was way too dark with no strawberry blonde streaks visible. I had to go back for her to remove the toner she used.The appointment on Oct. 18th was just the opposite, with so much wide blonde streaks around the hair line that it was all blonde with no contrast.I have shown Denise pictures of the color I wanted a couple of times. When I told her on Oct. 18th that the solid wide blonde streaks would have to be toned down, she used a condescending response that I needed to "make up your mind", because she "couldn't keep correcting" my hair.I paid $253.00 for a partial balayage with a director stylist!One would expect to have it turn out right! I will never book another appointment with her and will have to decide if another stylist there would work for me. I had to wait until 4:30PM that same day for Denise to fix the blonde streaks, which ended up looking gray! Her work didn't match any other part of my hair!I had to go to another stylist at a different salon and paid another$100 to correct the wrong colored toner Denise used tocorrect the wide blonde streaks.Service: Balayage

I called and let them know I was stuck in traffic and they said no worries. Arriving a few minues late, Kayla got to me and gave me another great haircut between doing a color for another customer. I have been a client of Bella Lago for the past 7 years. Over the years, I brought my entire family and friends with me. The stylist we used left, and we began stylist hopping. That is when all our troubles began. Recently I got a few grey hairs and decided to go blond. Since I had dark hair, we discussed all the aspects of transitioning to lighter hair with my stylist, Lees. We talked about it being a process, it was said that we should go slow, that I would not become blond in one sitting and probably not even two. It was supposed to take as many appointments, time, and money as it required. I was not supposed to be blond after this appointment, I was supposed to be blondER. I also addressed in great detail my hair structure. I warned Lees that my hair is not typical local hair, it's in fact middle eastern, and it requires a certain approach. Lees reassured me that she was experienced with all kinds of hair, and it was not an issue. Lees took a before picture of my hair as she said, "it will be a major transformation." A few hours and a few hundred dollars later, Lees did not take an "after picture". She addressed my yellow bangs, and so did I. But she did not attempt to fix what she had done. At this point, I didn't see my hair from the back or sides yet, because, for some reason, Lees did not show it to me in the mirror as they usually do. When I came home and saw what she'd done to me, I was horrified. I contacted Bella Lago Saturday morning because I couldn't deal with my hair. On top of it looking bad, it was unmanageable. I paid extra for hair protection treatment, yet my hair was a pile of straw. Lees was never supposed to let me out of the salon looking like that. She was supposed to tone my hair or ask for help from a more experienced stylist. Lees made multiple mistakes, from the application process to the duration of the process itself. The administrator repeatedly asked me not to show up at Bella Lago so they could take a look at my hair. That was a shocker. I realized that it's not going in the right direction, and they are not the ones to deal with their mistakes. Let's admit it everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how we face them. The administrator asked me to text her the pictures of my hair and reassured me that manager would be in touch with me shortly. The manager called me on Tuesday!!!! And she was not aware of what happened, nor did she see the pictures I provided on Saturday. I sent her the pictures again, the same pictures I posted here. And she boldly said that there's nothing wrong with my hair. They could offer me a toner, but generally speaking, that is exactly how one's hair looks when it goes from dark to light. Beware!!!! This answer indicates a lot of things. First and foremost, you will be treated like an idiot and like you've never done it before, and you don't know what hair should look like. Also, it indicates that Lees will not receive the additional training she requires, and you might be Bella Lago's next victim. Last but not least, you will be left alone with your hair, and they will not assume responsibility for their actions. A simple apology would be enough. On Tuesday, the manager said she would be back with me shortly. I asked for a refund on Thursday because no one was in touch with me.
