Hello to my Lake Norman neighbors. If you have ever considered visiting this place, allow me to share a story with you first. My name is Kenny my company painted this place prior to it opening. I almost didn’t take the job just because of how rude the owner was. But I went against my better judgment and did it anyway. Really wish I hadn’t..Long story short after making this place beautiful she began to make excuses on why she couldn’t pay me citing that we got done too early then ultimately strong arming us out of our payment. What makes this story even worse is that it was a week before Christmas. I have 4 small children.I am veteran and this hurt my heart more than anything I experienced in the Army. As a young business owner at the time it put me in such a financial bind as I still had to pay my men. Let’s just say Christmas was weird that year.To add insult to injury at the beginning of the project she didn’t like material cost so she wanted to get it on her account at sherwin williams had me order and pick it up. She then went to sherwin Williams and said she didn’t authorize me to use the account and had them move the cost to my account. That defaulted my account at sherwin. This woman is satan. If I knew then what I know now about the law this would have had a different result.

I'm giving a 4 Star because the play stations are great. I hesistate due to the fact that I booked a birthday party here for my grandson and the person that I spoke with to book was not very professional. First thing was that while I was talking to her on the phone she was constantly calling kids down so I was getting broken conversation which in my opinion if then was a good time to talk she should have asked for my number to return a call to me when time was better or to have an answering service that will take all information. Secondly I asked if there was anything that we needed to know before we got there and she said no, but in fact there was one thing that is one of their rules that she fail to tell me about which is that they are a shoe free facility which is important because there were great grandparents that came and wasn't aware of this policy. I don't walk on anyone's floor without socks on as I have foot issues so I left to purchase socks and as I left my grandsons mother informed me that the owner was talking about me while she was standing there waiting to take in the party stuff (unprofessional). When I returned I was informed about this so I pulled her to the side to speak about it and the policy with the socks. As I am also a business owner just wanted her to know that word of mouth for your business is great for business or bad for business. She didn't want to hear me out so this is where I am with the issues. Solutions would be to make sure that there is a conversation about your policy when someone is booking or don't offer the service as everyone isn't a member and don't know the policy. Secondly you could offer socks for sale in case someone want to purchase sock with grips so that kid aren't slipping on the concrete floor falling and getting hurt. I am glad that my grandson had a great birthday party through all of this and that is what is important. But, for anyone that want to book a private birthday party please make sure that she has answered all of your question through and you have gotten all details of the facility.

Very rude and inconsiderate to the kids. I would never trust them to keep my child while I'm not there

It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review. But after the treatment I have received I have no choice. My son started care here shortly after we moved to Mooresville in March. He adjusted quickly and loved the teachers. I got on a monthly plan and all was well until...The entire staff resigned due to poor owner management and no parents were notified. The new staff was incompetent and did not practice proper safety guidelines. When my child came home twice with a dirty diaper and a full drink (which he immediately sucked down like he had been walking in the desert) I knew something was wrong. That was when I found out all of the teachers he knew and I was comfortable with were gone and they were not only short staffed but the new staff was incompetent. They didn't even know which child was mine when I came to pick him up and did not ask for ID. To top it off I had just paid for a full month of care. When I notified the owner that I would not be bringing my child back and requested a refund minus the two days he went I received no response, and still haven't.I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone who cares about their child. Terrible customer service and dishonesty. If they had done the right thing and refunded my money I would have moved on but anyone who keeps $500 for 2 days of care is just not a good person.

Drove from Denver to play with our 19 month old and 6 month old. $9.50 for each child AND each adult. So $30 for us. Things were very dirty and old, toys not working, some toys I wouldn’t even allow the kids to play with because they looked so dirty. The best thing was the slide which we could have done for free on the playground in our neighborhood. Also, the drop in care, there were 2 kids and they were often told they needed to be quiet and just sat in chairs eating snacks and offered more the whole time we were there.

Wasn’t really much to do for an 8 year old. The place is very tired and needs updating.

Everything is old and falling apart. The toys are dirty and don’t have batteries in them. Staff is friendly, but I’ll never take my child there again.

We decided to check this place out on Saturday. Cute toddler place but expensive 9.83 per person including adults. Didn't like that part paying to watch your kids play usually adults are free but it's cool. Most of the toys that required batteries didn't work, no chalk for the chalk board. We stayed about 2 hours. Wouldn't pay $30 again to go!

This place is awesome! The staff are so kind and my son has a blast. He begs me to take him here to play. We did playhouse time where I went with my kids but they do drop ins which is what we do now. There is a tall door that splits the lobby from the playground and it’s great for safety but also when leaving my toddler comes right out the door and doesn’t look back in. Helps so much with tantrums! It is very clean and all the children were happy

Our Kid's Place LKN is a wonderful place for kids. The staff is super friendly and they are good to my girls. My 5 and 3 year old both LOVE going here and want to stay when I come to pick them up. (That in itself is saying something) It is a great option if you need to run errands, work out, work from home, or grocery shop. I also love that they have the option for date night once a month. Thank you Karen and staff for taking such great care of my kids!

I don't think I have ever written a negative review. But I just can't shake it. I see many good reviews on here so something must have changed recently and gone downhill. But I would never, ever use this place for childcare. Please find somewhere else. The first thing I noticed were many kids crying and not being comforted. Babies left crying in highchairs. Kids hurting each other. Bigger kids being rough with little kids. Kids walking up to me crying and wanting comfort or kids asking for help to get down from something high. So, so much crying. There were a few that cried the entire time we were there. I felt so bad for these kids. If I were the parents of the little ones that wouldn't stop crying, I sure would hope they would call me to tell me. Very traumatic. The ratio seems to be very off and they are in need of more help or more trained workers.

I would not bring your kids here! I wanted to cry for these kids. I brought my son here for the first time for open play and it was terrible. 2 young girls are watching over 10 kids. It's dirty, they put kids in the highchairs for hours just siting there. They left cleaner down in the play area and my son happened to pick it up. I had to take a Lego block out of a babys mouth! That's so concerning as a mother. 1 girl was wet down her whole side so I don't think they get changed often as they should. The kids are crying Also baby at least 1 or under and the girls aren't doing anything to make them feel comfortable. Just looking at them. And I did tell her she should pick that baby up and hug him. If I was a mother I would want to know what's going on with my kid. This place isn't it .

This place has gone down hill quick, I’m not sure what’s changed but this isn’t the place to take your child. The quality and lack of care is poor to each given child and adult to child ratio is way off.
