We recently moved to the Mooresville area, and based on several referrals chose The Dapper Dog Salon for our two mini goldendoodles to be groomed. We have taken our two pups twice, and have had great experiences both times! They looked adorable (and like the pictures I sent to reference from our previous groomer) and smelled delicious! I was also very impressed by how clean the salon was and how open the space is. I would highly recommend The Dapper Dog Salon!

The worst grooming experience we ever had. The first time the busted a blood vessel in my dogs eye which I took him to the vet for. But I gave them a second chance thinking maybe he did something on his own. This time they completely shaved them and cut my dog all over. Not only do they look terrible, but one of my dogs ears has an open wound that won’t stop bleeding. They cut a huge spot on his leg and neck. And then proceeded to try to charge me over $200. I understand they were matted, but I’ve taken them matted to other people before and never had this result.

We will not be returning to this location. This is cash our toy poodle. They cut his ear bad and as you can see he’s still bleeding. They said both dogs were matted and shaved them completely and then tried to charge us $200. We’ve never had our dogs shaved completely to the skin in 8 yrs. This happened twice now and we tried to excuse the first time and give them the benefit of the doubt but sadly will not return.

Reese is our first doodle and we were not aware of the grooming that is absolutely necessary. He is a very curly doodle and we learned the hard way about matting. Dapper Dog and Dede helped us create a schedule to keep Reese soft and happy. We tried three groomers until we found Dapper Dog. We \\\"tweeked\\\" his look a few times and now we love it! We are so happy to have a local and professional groomer who listens and is sweet to our fur baby.

I really hate to leave bad reviews, but I had a very negative experience here and my poor dog had to have stitches. I got a bad feeling when I first arrived to drop my dog off. The groomer was rough when she took my dog from me. The dog is quite small and fragile, and the groomer didn't take any time to make her feel comfortable, like most animal lovers do when they first approach an animal. The groomer was very short with me when I was trying to explain what I wanted. I asked for the dog to be cut short, and was not informed there would be an extra charge for that. When I returned for my dog, the groomer used intimidation tactics with me, getting very close to me and angrily telling me that my dog needed to learn how to behave, that she was terrible and wouldn't stay still and so she got cut. I didn't see the cut because the dog was in my arms desperately trying to get away from the groomer, whom she was now terrified of. I was polite and tried to get more information, but the groomer kept reiterating how terrible my dog was and that she needs to learn how to behave. I was so overwhelmed and intimidated, I just paid, even though I was overcharged by $30. On the way out, both groomers told me not to take my dog to the vet. They wanted me to superglue the wound closed myself. In the car, I got a better look at the wound, which was worse than I thought. I immediately called the vet and took her in. She required stitches and antibiotics. While I watched the vet and techs interact with her, I realized that the groomer had not interacted with my dog the way people who care about dogs usually do. The more I thought about the interaction, the more it upset me. I've watched my dog interact with her normal groomer. I've even watched her be groomed by a friend of mine. She definitely behaved and I believe that if she misbehaved during the grooming at Dapper Dog, it was because she was scared of the groomer. Also, if the groomer felt that the dog was moving too much to groom safely, they should have stopped and called me. I definitely understand that working in the service industry is difficult. But the experience I had went further than someone having a bad day. Financially, the groom and vet visit cost four times what I thought I was going to pay that day. Emotionally, it has scarred my dog, who is not acting like herself, and me, who just wants her to be happy and healthy.

I brought my dog here and had a good experience the first time. He was groomed nicely and was done in a fair amount of time. So now it's time to take him back for another grooming And this time I can't even tell you how horrible this grooming was. He was shaved to the core and had terrible razor burn all over his belly and private area. I called the owner to tell her how terribly disappointed I was and she only gave me excuses for why this was not razor burn but tried to convince me it was allergies! Never returned and it's taken me a long time to decide this review is important to put out there to protect other dogs and owners from suffering with a poor miserable razor burned dog!

They had my dog for 5 hours and did a rush hack job after they had closed. Her appointment was at 11AM and to offer to bring her back next day after having her all day.

Peter and lilly loved their spa day ! The girls were so nice and made you feel like you’ve known them forever , our groomer read my mind and cut the babies perfectly to exactly how I wanted them done ! So happy that I found a place where the fur babies feel safe! Lilly already misses the girls and stealing the giant stuffed flamingo. LOL, thanks girls !!!

Had a good experience with Dapper Dog Salon. Cooper was in need of a trim & his normal groomer was booked out about two months. I am thankful Dapper Dog has Saturday appointments & was able to book an appointment a week out. The salon is bright, clean, & cute. Nice that they have open tables. Daisy checked Cooper in & I'm assuming she was his groomer. Within an hour & a half, they called letting me know he was ready for pick up. Upon arrival, he was happy to see me & looked so handsome. Price falls a little above other groomers, about $5.00 more for what I've paid elsewhere. I did get home & notice some marks on his belly. Seems they cut too close or nicked his skin. Thankfully, he didn't bother it & cleared up by the next day.

I think Dapper Dog Salon is amazing. The owner is very nice. I was so pleased with their service. The salon has a nice roomy feel to it. It’s clean,well set up and I’m happy to take Coco and Chloe there. They seem to love being there too.They did a wonderful job grooming the girls. I was very pleased with their service. I highly recommend Dapper Dog.
