I discovered a split in a wet exhaust hose while traveling south on the ICW to Beaufort, NC. The marina in Beaufort recommended Almost Southern Marine to get a new hose. Cody, the owner, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He recommended a corrugated hose, which was much more flexible and easier to work with. He didn't have it in stock, but he had it for me the next morning. Two days later, I was on my way south again. I highly recommend Almost Southern Marine for quality parts and excellent customer service.

In my 50 years as a sailor, I have never experienced anyone with this level of customer support. Cody and he's wife wife will go out of their way to find you the right part at the right price. I can strongly recommend this store for anything you need for your boat.

Almost Southern Marine is the best marine supply store in Morehead City. Salvatore “Cody” Catapano went the extra mile to help us solve an issue on our transit south. Very personable and the team there gave us some great fishing tips. Highly recommended!

This is my first review I’ve ever done for anybody. If I ever need anything related to boat/outboard service I won’t go anywhere but here. Almost Southern was incredible helpful, and went out of his way to make sure that we got the parts and service that we needed. He was super knowledgeable and his main focus was putting us back out in the water to keep the good times. Super trustworthy and would highly recommend to anyone in need of service.

Just had some work done on our IO. Cody fixed some potentially major issues left by another shop and got it ready to go. Very fair pricing. Good work. Fast. Kept me updated on work and gave good advice. I'll be back if/when I need more work.

I had a boat and trailer (bad wheel bearings) towed here on a Wednesday morning, one day before a tropical storm was moving through our area. Expecting to get my boat back after the upcoming holiday weekend, they called me around 10:00 am and said it would be ready for pickup after lunch. It has been a few years since i have personally recieved such great service and i will definitely be using Almost Southern Marine for any future marine needs.

I walked in with a concern and the owner stopped and listened and also gave me advice that was the solution to the problem I was having. He could have easily just asked me to bring the boat in and charged me a fee, but instead, he was honest and helpful. This is the business we all ask for when needing a service. I appreciate them and I know you will too. Highly recommended.

Fantastic customer service!!! My family has a pontoon boat and our tire blew out on the trailer while on vacation and while trying to get the trailer to a place to get the tire replaced we went over a railroad track and knocked something out of place underneath the trailer. I called Almost Southern about it and we were close to them and the owner came out personally and checked out the trailer and was able to fix the issue right there on the spot! We couldn’t be more grateful for how helpful they were at getting us back on track to enjoy our vacation. Highly recommend anyone go to them just from that experience alone!

We can't say enough good about Dana and Cody. They went above and beyond to help us in any way they possibly could. They are conveniently located to the waterfront and local marinas but are still reasonably priced and carry a great selection for such a small store. Thank you again guys for everything!

Dana and Cody and George at Almost Southern Marine are my heroes. I’ve never seen a shop work so hard to solve a myriad of problems associated with my 20 foot Pioneer with a Yamaha 150. Last Saturday when I woke the boat up from a long winters nap, the battery was dead. I replace david the battery but still had problems getting it started. This team jumped right on it around lunchtime Saturday trying to help me get on the water for what was a beautiful day. To make a long story short wiring was a problem that they fixed, then I had a frozen impeller which they fixed, and finally at the end of the day I experienced a fuel pump issue, and was unable to get the boat out for the day. It’s OK, boat problems happen, but it was just a bright spot in the day to watch them try so hard to help me. This team get five stars.

While vacationing in the area my boat trailer spring broke in half. I asked a few locals and they gave lists of places to try to find one. All of them suggested Almost Southern Marine in their lists. I called and spoke with Cody. He said he probably had the part and to come on down. I took the broken spring with me and when he saw it he was a little bit surprised. Apparently my trailer is not supposed to be with that boat and had very rare springs. Cody made some calls and in a few days had found the one place that had the springs. He got them shipped in and I made the trip 5 hours back to get them and install them. After I replaced the broken spring the trailer sat 6-8 inches higher on one side. I called Cody and even though he was busy he let me bring the trailer to him. He got everything fixed on the trailer including replacing both hubs to make it safe again and getting it back to the proper height in a few hours. Even for what was basically an emergency service job his prices were very good. The service at Almost Southern Marine can't be beat! If you are looking for trailer work or anything boating related give them a call!
