Only thing redeeming about my experience was that at least the staff were friendly, despite being utterly clueless about mostly everything. From the get go I knew it was going to be rough as I overheard one of the people at the counter tell a customer "oh yea it's an auto fob but with these new cars it's a new feature, it can't just be in the car, you have to hold the fob up to the start button and then press it..."Wrong, that is if the fob battery is low/dead. Just straight up misinformation going on. Then the line is moving oh so slowly. I'm a little reassured though given I've done everything in advance, reservation, payment, etc, so it should be fairly straightforward. But oh was I wrongI get to the counter and she starts going through policies and how I won't be able to do certain things. I tell her I already payed a fee to allow me to do that, which she should've seen. She then states but oh, that fee is per day so I'm going to have to pay. I stare for a second and then reply my rental is quite literally for under a day. This back and forth about things keeps going about other things as well where they are either uninformed or just not checking the information, and I, the customer, am having to inform them about their own policies and everything I've already done in advance. Finally they hand me some keys and I go to the lot to find the car, only to find that the front bumper is falling off. Somebody ran over a curb and reversed out. Now I could easily fix this, just pop it back in place (which I did in the end) but I want to ensure that it is documented in case they try to charge me when I return the car and I want to get my $250 deposit back. I go inside, and I have to wait so long in line again. When I finally get up to the counter, I informed them to which they respond "oh, no"She brushed me off and says it should be fine but I insist for some kind of documentation, i'm not asking for a new car, as I am already super delayed due to their sluggishness, and I also recognize that the damage is not critical. The representative next to mine overhears, looks over and says "oh yeah, we're supposed to fill out a slip for this." It is documented and I finally get back to the car for a second time now. I turn on the car and the first thing that I see is a giant alert, saying that a service is due on this car and that the oil needs to be changed now. At this point, I'm extremely frustrated and I just decide to go along on my journey, even though this is a ridiculous thing to happen. Just overall horrible service, cars are not maintained, information is unknown, and the staff are utterly clueless and slowOnce the rental was over I was also supposed to get a gift card through the Amazon link, which is advertised on their own website. I try calling them as I never received it and they just never pick up. Finally get the larger customer service line on the phone and the first person doesn't even know about the Amazon program and the policies, I am having to inform them again of their own policies advertised in their own website. Nothing happens so I call back and luckily this new person does know what he is taking about, what I am referring to, instantly recognizes the error, and begins the process to fix it, but I guess we will see in 1-3 days if it is actually fixed.

I wish I could provide a zero rating. I had a horrible experience at the Morrisville Budget located at RDU. First, I booked and paid for the rental online two weeks prior to my arrival. When I arrived, there was a two-hour wait. Then, I was asked to pay a $250 deposit that would be refunded after returning the car. The car was filthy and had a lot of damage on the body. The deposit was never refunded and I was charged additional fees that were not included online when I booked it. All on all after everything was said and done, I was over-charged $250

To be honest, I hate to say this, but the mature guy with yellow color glasses at the counter served us was very rude. We waited an hour in the queue when there was only one person is on duty, the others all went for lunch. After my partner has advised him that I am his partner and also additional driver. The staff member keep referring me as his ‘friend’ . The whole time while I’m standing next to my partner. No eye contact , no communication with me at all. Even when he requested my signature he asked my partner to tell me‘have your friend to sign here’ …I’m very shocked how he totally ignored my existence. I know I might be the only Asian in the room but this kind of racist and homophobia behavior is really poor and not acceptable. Not even mention that the car we got was full of dents and scratches, definitely not the premium car we have paid. Definitely not recommend.

This place is beyond garbage. The worst rental car experience ever. I waited in line for almost 2 hours because the workers are incompetent and two of the four were sitting in the back doing nothing. Another customer had to go knock on the door to get them to come out. One was the manager. And the manager let one lady cut the entire line to give her special treatment because she “pre paid.” We all pre paid. This manager is the most useless individual I’ve ever encountered. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!!!!

Do not ever use them. For your sanity just uber to another location and get 2 hours of your life back. It is the most unorganized budget/Avis ever. There is zero reason that anything should be this inefficient. I can't imagine they will be able to stay open much longer. There has to be some corporate guidance. Never again.

This place is a disaster. Completely unprofessional, without any leadership, organization, planning, and is a complete fiasco. Budget Corp., should send someone to investigate this place - - they will lose business/customers.I returned the rental car yesterday and no one was present to check the car and provide a receipt. That happened to six others that got on the shuttle with me. Upon reading the reviews from others; I was shocked to learn that this is an ongoing problem - - for over six months - - without any resolution for this location.I took photos of the rental to prove the return, full tank of gas etc.... Upon my arrival in FL I still did not get a receipt. I called them direct - - no one answers the phone. I called corporate, they gave me a reference number, but still no confirmation.Now, I am still waiting..... What a disaster. No way to run a business.

DO NOT USE BUDGET. Period.Waited in line 2hr 35min for the car. Man at desk was lovely. When I finally got to the counter to pick up the car, I asked if they had been surprised by the amount of people (the line wrapped FULLY around the building), especially as they only had at time 2 people working a counter with 6 terminals. He said this was “usual volume”.Car was dirty, very loud, oil change light was on, less than a 1/4 tank of gas (“we are out of gas so just return it with 1/4 tank” - I took a picture of the guy who told me that and had him write it out on my receipt).Car had obviously not been checked after previous return. Random things (broken umbrella, safety goggles, wrappers) everywhere.Some sort of film on windshield made night driving (and sun glare) borderline impossible. Took it to car wash as well as various attempts at scrubbing it off myself, but could not get (sap?) off.Oh, and I just got my e-receipt and was charge $98 for gas despite having returned it with more in the tank then when they gave it to me. On hold now with them. Wait time according to the recoding will be at least 15min.

I will never rent with Budget again. Once I arrived to the facility to check in and pick up my car it took me 3 hours to get my car. I was waiting in the cold with my toddler for 2 hours, because of how long the line was. I waited another hour once I got inside. Thank God there were some nice passengers that sympathized and allowed me to check in ahead of them. No discount or voucher was not offered at all. Also the car they gave me was all scuffed up.

Absurdly, there was a two hour wait for a car I rented two weeks prior to my arrival. We stood outdoors. The line went out the building, down the sidewalk, around the building twice. I landed at 6:35 and by the time I picked up my luggage and was able to get 9n a shuttle that wasn't full (took two times), I did not get checked out with the car rental until 10:10pm! It really is unacceptable.

Practically had an unpleasant experience w/every employee I encountered. Shuttled from the airport to Budget's Rental Office & waited in line for approx 1 hour & 45 minutes. I reserved a 'Mystery Vehicle' online weeks ago for a specific price. When I inquired about a 'Military Discount', the attendant stated that they did not do discounts at the counter. I didn't have an issue w/her simply saying 'No ma'am. However, I don't understand where else would I have been able to inquire/receive a discount if not at a physical counter? She directed me to the location of my rental (white Dodge Ram 4x4 trk). Upon inspection, I was displeased as the exterior was filthy (I could & did write my initials in the dirt). The front grill & sideview mirrors were covered w/dead road bugs & the interior smelled heavily of smoke (I'm a non-smoker). The rear right tire only had 21 PSI & the gas tank was less than full. I drove to the carwash area for assistance & was told that they had a really long line & I'd have to go back to the rental counter to get the issues addressed. Curtis from the mechanic's bay did assist by putting air in the tire & alerting his supervisor who then alerted someone at the carwash station. A young man then came over & listened to my list of issues. He took the keys & parked a few yards away. I watched as he 'sprayed' the truck down with a water hose. He then returned the keys to me & when I asked, "Is that it? Are you done?" He replied, "Yes." I said, So, that's what you call a carwash?" His response was, "We're really busy & have a long line of cars to take care of." I said, "That's a Budget problem & not a customer problem." He agreed w/me & said, "So you want me to wash it?" I replied, "Yes I do!" Again, he drove a few yards away & proceeded to wash only half the truck. When he returned it to me, my initials were still visible on the right side (side he didn't wash) & the bugs were still present. He also advised I 'return the truck w/the same amount of gas'.

On Friday, September 29 I had a rental car reserved at budget at Raleigh Durham airport. When I went to get the car I had to wait in line for three hours to get my rental car. There were only two people working inside until about 4 o’clock. The outside kiosk for preferred customers had two people also but they had no line. I’m not sure why they could not come in and help the crowd. I will not be renting a car from Avis/budget again.

Scammers! We arrived early in the morning and all the cars in line (that were already dropped off) were running with no one in them which I knew was suspect. Sure enough, when I got my receipt they charged me for fuel and fuel charge fee. We literally filled up the tank at the gas station right down the street! $11 fuel charge and gas, it was $22.88 total. That doesn't sound like much but they are stealing from the customer if they are running cars so the gas is lower and they can charge me for gas. Unbelievable! I called corporate and I will be getting a refund and she says that location gets that complaint of gas charge all the time.

Was greeted upon arrival with an insane line with no directions - I asked around hoping that many people were waiting to get their car after checking in (which is the case sometimes but there was so instruction) but no, it was one line to both check in and receive your car keys for two car rental brands. Waited here for over hour which is the longest I've EVER waited for a car. Even with online pre check in it didn't make a difference. Your best bet is paying marginally more at another place for better service. Employees were nice though so I'll bump it up a star.

Arrived at RDU to pick up a rental. The line to get a car WITH a reservation was out the door into the parking lot. And not moving.After flying all day that's what I want to see. That entire place is chaos. Cars every where. Customer service reps clueless. I travel to RDU frequently and I will pay more to avoid this disaster. Unacceptable for an airport rental lot.
