Came and n for Friday charming dim sum restaurant tucked away in the bustling streets of Chinatown. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the warm ambiance and the enticing aroma of freshly steamed dumplings. The menu offered an impressive array of dim sum delicacies, ranging from classic staples to innovative twists on traditional favorites. Each dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's skillful craftsmanship and attention to detail. I started with the steamed shrimp dumplings, which were tender and succulent, with a burst of freshness in every bite. The barbecue pork buns were another highlight, with pillowy soft buns encasing savory-sweet filling that melted in my mouth. As I explored the menu further, I was delighted to discover unique offerings such as the crispy taro puffs, which were crispy on the outside and delightfully creamy on the inside. The custard-filled egg tarts were also a revelation, with a delicate pastry crust and a luscious custard filling that was the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that every need was met and every dish arrived promptly. The ambiance was lively yet relaxed, with the sound of clinking teacups and lively chatter adding to the convivial atmosphere. In summary, my experience at Jade Palace was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and inviting ambiance made it a dining experience to remember. Whether you're a dim sum aficionado or a first-time diner, I wholeheartedly recommend Jade Palace for a culinary journey that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving more.

Dim Sum were so cold, all food is pre-made and stay at the cart that sitting outside of the kitchen all the time. Most of the items were from frozen, we are definitely can tell that. NOT fresh made!!! And super pricey, not worth any dollar. Definitely Will NOT return!

Best Dim Sum south of Worth Street in Chinatown, NYC. The food and service were both excellent and Audrey even took a moment to sit with us and talk.

What an amazing place! I love that the dim sum carts are finally back post-COVID. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is (usually) hot and fresh. Every once in a while there may be something that's been on the cart a little too long, but they are more than happy to reheat or remake anything fresh. Best dim sum in the triangle. Everyone says Hong Kong on Guess in Durham, but I hate the lines and extremely cramped restaurant. I enjoy the Dim Sum House experience so much more.Vegetarian options: With dim sum, there are largely meat dishes involved, but there's a good number of vegetarian friendly dishes still. But consider that dim sum is a sharing experience, and unless everyone with you is vegetarian, it might be difficult.

Dim Sum House used to be a staple of our dining out experience. Every few Sundays we would load up and have a treat meal of dim sum from the carts and it was always amazing service and even more amazing food - never a mediocre item. Unfortunately, during our last visit toward the "end" of the pandemic, the experience left me feeling queasy. Ever since then when I think about the food I have a physical reaction that makes me never want to go back. The food on the carts was all lukewarm or cold, even if the item was supposed to be hot. I completely understand that it can be a challenge to maintain freshness when the dining room is not full of customers to deplete the stock, but there had to have been a better way. There was a strange smell that I will never forget of something "off" that wafted in the dining room and between that and the inappropriate temperatures of the food I have shot down my boyfriend's suggestion to go there for about 2 years now. It makes me incredibly sad to write this and I wish everyone there the best, but I am not sure, based on other reviews corroborating mine, that I can ever go back.

Quite possibly the worst food I have ever eaten. We chose a small plate of dumplings, some edamame, one bowl white rice, small spring rolls and potstickers. $42 for that and one cup of tea!! The food is rolled out in carts and tastes like it had been sitting there since 8 am. Cold, dried out garbage. And the waitstaff is less than helpful. Would give zero stars if I could.

Really deserves 0 stars but I don't have that option here This was the worst food my boyfriend and I have ever eaten and to make it worse, it's freaking expensive!! We arrived at 1:30 on a Saturday. The less than helpful wait staff start rolling carts in front of you. Don't even give you a time to sit down and get your breath. Don't tell you what anything costs. Don't tell you what anything is either to be honest. We chose 4 dim sum plates and some rice. Everything was cold, and tasted as though it had been sitting there since possibly the night before. For this complete garbage plus one cup of hot tea the bill came to $42. Needless to say we will never go back. I am honestly puzzled by any positive reviews this place gets. I do eat out quite a bit at all levels of restaurants and don't consider myself to be overly picky. But this place left me feeling that I had been robbed. Just hoping I don't come down with food poisoning later tonight.

Definitely not recommend, especially the service, can be dependent on which server you get though.

First of all, there aren't many places one can find Dim Sum in the area, let alone North Carolina outside major urban areas. So this high rating has more to do with simply existing than the food. It's hard to get Dim Sum right if you don't have a packed restaurant. The idea is that the food goes quickly off carts, thus stays hot and fresh. So, the food could have been a little hotter and better but we felt fortunate just to have Dim Sum at all!

Preheated food, far from the best dim sums. Price is not cheap.

Hm. Somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. We were so disappointed. The food was not hot; some of it was not even warm, and all the dishes we ordered should have been warm-to-hot. Everything was very expensive for the region, and the overall taste was just average. We love dim sum dishes in general, and this didn’t give us food poisoning or anything—it was just… so underwhelming and not worth us taking a detour to try this place out.Bummer, especially since the some of the staff were very nice. I suspect part of the problem is that it is hard to thrive on this kind of business model without a steady stream of customers to keep food in rotation. With this customer stream (aka an inconsistent flow of customers), you’re better off taking kitchen orders than going around with carts. Now, I do caveat this by saying we arrived shortly after they opened—but at that point, the carts already had lukewarm-to-cold food! That’s unacceptable, especially when you’re charging $6-$12 per dim sum dish! Those are high prices to begin with! So… if you’re local and love dim sum, perhaps go and support this restaurant so that it can become what a dim sum house is meant to be!
