“A nice quaint family store with fresh foods and a great variety of indo-paki grocery items. I had been looking for Sheermal bread and Roasted Vermicellis everywhere in Cary, and I saw Al Kareem Grocery and thought I'd give it a try! “My main reason for coming here is the GIANT flour tortillas they sell in the cooler. But they have a lot of Mexican goods that you're not going to find at a standard grocery store. The produce is generally good too, and prices are very competitive.”

“I visited this location on 11/6/2025. I wish I caught her name, but the woman behind the counter went above and beyond. I explained I wanted to take a ham back to Jersey and I had a flight later that day. She put it on ice, provided instructions on how to care for the ham, and provided some of their honey mustard packets. The ham made it back and it was delicious! Thanks for the hospitality. If I'm back, I'll be stopping by.”
“Nice small grocery. A good place to buy parboiled rice which they most of the time have on sale. Good meditation supplies and meat products are also available. Also good treatment from the staff.”
“I wanted to recognize Mike in the meat department. I went into Lowe's Apex after work one night. I was tired and wanted to find a steak to throw on the grill. Mike went above and beyond to help me find the perfect steak. His expertise in the meat department is unmatched. You could tell Mike was passionate about his job. Oh, and by the way, I went home and grilled the steak. It was the most tender steak I've had in a great while. A+ customer service. Thanks, Mike!”
“I visited the Lowes Foods at 6430 Tryon Road in Cary, NC, and was highly impressed!
This location is on par with the one in the Southern Pines area. I’ve had less positive experiences at a couple of other locations in and near the Cary area, so I was especially glad this visit went so well.
There’s plenty of parking, even though the lot is shared with other businesses.
The Valentine’s Day display was one of the best I’ve seen—very cute, with a great variety of high-quality items. Everything I checked was fresh and not expired.
The employees were helpful and personable.
I noticed a few open bags of chicken strips and informed a staff member, who handled the situation promptly.
There was also a bag of brown sugar (red, green and yellow packaging labeled “Batey”) on the floor. I’d suggest management review the surveillance footage to see what may have happened there.

“I love this place!! We stopped in not sure what we were looking for and were so pleased!!! There is a lot in the market- ranging from Indian to more Mediterranean. The little bar has fresh food for take away and it was AMAZING. The staff was so helpful and let me try to different curries before picking which I wanted. They are made piping hot, full of flavour and are large portions. I’ll definitely be back!”
