This is Nelson’s of Mt. Airy :wife & I are in our 70’s ,we were looking to trade our Outback for wife didn’t like it ( medical reason ) ! Auto of Nelson had 2023 Toyota. Rav 4. that we were looking for .We took it for drive liked it and agreed on purchase .While we were doing our paperwork the salesman read from print out from Auto Check and assured us again suv was titled in Florida and sent to Bassett VA .He stuck Auto Check in front of us and wanted our initial on it .I told him we wanted copy but through process never received one .Wife went back day later and still didn’t get copy .We should have ask to read it ourself but we trusted what he read ! We took suv home and drove it on some short trips and to Boone ,it did fine but was few things made me suspicious so I ordered CarFax ! Turns out only time it was in Basset Va was when it was bought on auction by Nelson .SUV stayed titled in Florida till it was auction off for it was lease or renter and it appears by service records it was used in state of Connecticut which made me sick for it was Northern vehicle exposed salty roads ! I took suv back to car lot and talked to finance manager .He said we should have read Auto Check which had in fine print ( lease vehicle )salesman never mentioned it ! No where on Auto Ck was Connecticut mentioned but was on CarFax ! I told finance manager this was probably illegal and would hurt Nelson’s name ! He said Nelson was so big it would never matter ! They offered to buy back but said it would be quite a reduced price which I haven’t heard yet but decided I am going to keep vehicle and learned my lesson and not trust car dealers .Knowing where suv was used and it was rent or lease vehicle I wouldn’t have bought SUV !

Leslie is one of the best sales reps to work with. She is not pushy. If you dont like what you see she will find what your looking for!! I had been to multiple car dealerships and found myself back at nelson purchasing my car!!! Big shout out to leslie for a great job. ? highly recommended

Autos by Nelson takes southern hospitality to a whole new level. I have purchased two vehicles through them now & the team has remained patient, understanding, kind, compassionate, and reasonable. Another family member of mine has purchased from here and they're still happily riding in their vehicle today. I love the teamwork here. With my latest purchase, I wasn't able to sign the paperwork at the office due to my work schedule & would you believe they brought my car to me at my job so I could sign the papers and ride home in my new whip.
