Great service. Was given a $3500 estimate (which was expected for our engine problems) the the total came back less than HALF of that. Truck is running great and all problems seem to be resolved. Owner and mechanic were very informative and polite to work with. They never got aggrivated even when I called almost every day. Thanks guys!

Absolutely recommend David Smith of Smith's diesel repair in a heartbeat. We literally limped into Mayberry campground, having to drive on the shoulder the last 20 miles of the way towing a 12,000 lb camper. The campground gave me his name and I looked him up on google, with mixed reviews I had no choice so called and he told me to bring it in. After having it in the shop where I live for the same problem of which I was told I had no problem( they didn't charge me) at the home shop. Smith's Diesel repair found the problem and went out of their way to get me back on the road. If you own a diesel you better know it cost more to work on them so don't complain about the cost it is what it is and I do believe he was very fair with me and I couldn't be happier. He also came to the campground to pick us up and take me back to the shop to pick up my truck and while on the way back to the shop David himself gave us a brief tour, Great guy with a great attitude. Thank-you David

if you dont like to have your wallet raped don't go there.I brought a old 6.9 idi international, single axel dump truck to them to be looked at for a over heating issue. They said it needed the radiator pulled and off boiled out plus a thermostat. and that the labor would be 4hrs @85 an HR on it. I said ok and said throw some belts on it if it needed it and replace the valve cover gaskets.I weighted 2 weeks to get it back and when he called me and said it was ready and the bill was $1300 bucks !!!!! I was shocked needless to say. And told them that seemed a little high and Thier response was it's expensive to work on this stuff. Needless to say it the same engine as a f250 or f350.I called the radiator shop and they told me it was just $65 bucks to boil it out, and just for that they charged $235 bucks, $115 for 4 small fan belts that may have cost $40 bucks total. When I went to get the truck I looked under the hood and they had left bolts and clamps holding lines in place. when. I told them they need to fix it they grumbled and had a bad addtude about it.If you need towing done call ultimate towing if you need diesel repair go to c and t in Winston Salem.

I could not be more happy with the people that met. Very professional knowledgeable and respectful. I recently broke down in between Florida and Ohio I had two dogs and a cat and everything I own in my truck and U-Haul trailer. They got right to me and was unable to finish in one day they were more than kind to show me around town and get me a really good deal on a hotel for my animals and I. The very next morning they started bright and early I got my truck fixed a lot faster than I thought. Best of all the price was very reasonable. I will definitely stop in to visit on occasions when I pass by. I can't say enough for their help in my time of need.

Horrible service. I called them out to work on a broken down truck with alternator problems as diagnosed by the driver. The mechanic agreed with my driver, saying it must be the alternator, and they didn't have one, so they provided a jump. After driving 300 miles with a spare alternator, and just a five second glance, I saw it was just a burned up wire, easily replaced by any mechanic. I called back to see if they would honor the $200 charge, they replied that they had done their job by providing a jump. No further calls were replied to.Shady business practices, will NOT ever call this company again and will urge other owner operators not to use their services
