“Only here for the week, but we'd return if we ever come thru again. We were warmly welcomed and many people took time to talk with us. Worship was genuine and humble- I loved it coming from a very loud contemporary type worship style at our home church. Good, solid, preaching. Sweet church and congregation ?”
“We stopped here on our roadtrip of Southwestern NC because my wife had family that lived in the area many years ago. We had done a bit of research before visiting and knew my wife's ancestors were involved with the founding of the church and also buried in the cemetery on site. We walked the cemetery looking for connections to her family from many years ago. She found her family name quite often as well as other surnames she knows are part of her heritage.The road from Murphy to the community of Hanging Dog is quite curvy but worth visiting.”
