Took vehicle there for a brake issue after meinke tried to rip me a new one. They were very nice, found the issue and got me back on the road I no time for a very reasonableprice. . I highly recommend!

Not a good experience, and this from a returning customer. I scheduled diagnostic work a week in advance to reduce downtime. Turns out on the day-of I'm informed they can't actually do the diagnostic work because they don't have OBD II testing gear. They knew the age of the vehicle in advance and that it needed diagnostic work, yet they went ahead and made the appointment anyway. This was very unprofessional and a complete waste of everyone's time. You can do better...

Had a flat tire and stopped by Ocean Auto Repair—what a great decision! Tom, the mechanic, was professional, quick, and super friendly. He had me back on the road in no time, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find a shop that’s this honest and efficient. Big shoutout to the crew at Ocean Auto. My daughters been saving for years and finally got a brand new car which we found out needed an inspection even though it only had 200 miles on it. She’s leaving Sunday to go back to college and Ocean Auto was able to squeeze it in this morning. This isn’t our first time working with them and every time they have been very professional. Today they were able to help when we were in a jam and it was very much appreciated!

We recently visited the Outer Banks, and encountered car trouble the day before we intended to drive home. We spent all morning trying to find a shop to fix our problem, and visited Ocean Auto in the process. They were unable to get to it that day, or the next, but graciously recommended a couple of other places nearby (who couldn't help either.) As it turned out, we chose them to do the work, rented a car to get home, and returned the following week to pick ours up. They were totally accommodating in letting our vehicle sit on their lot until we could get back to it, and the price for the work was just about what we would have expected.
To sum up, I felt like we were as well taken care of there as we would have been at the shop near our home, where we've been going for 20 years. I see no reason to give them less than five stars.

We are from NY and our truck wouldn’t start. They got us in quickly! Although the truck wouldn’t start initially, it did on its own after a day. The mechanic created and showed us a work around in the event it happened again, so we could get home! It’s hard to trust a shop you don’t know, but they were awesome. The price was way less than we were thinking, especially for out of towners! Thank you so much!! Highly recommend!

The best got here Saturday water pump went out Tuesday July 2 fixed on the 4th about the same price as back home and I didn’t have to rent a car and come back and get it can’t thank you enough

They saved a family vacation with kindness and professionalism! Stopped in there right before the fourth of July with a nagging issue on my car that was unfortunately causing some uncomfortable riding conditions. Not being from the area, I stopped at two other garages first but was told they were all booked up with reduced staffing because of the holiday. I stopped in at Ocean Auto Repair and they somehow fit me in for a quick look at the problem. Thankfully they were able to fix the issue very quickly and we were on our way again! Many thanks to the team at Ocean Auto Repair, everyone was kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. I hope to never need another auto mechanic while on vacation, but if I do then I hope it is while visiting Nags Head, because I found my go-to garage!

Took my car here since moving to the OBX when this shop was AutoTech. Now, the new owners and mechanics are just as good or better and both fair and trustworthy. Ocean Auto is a recommended place for all auto service needs.
