They are really NOT The Dollar Tree anymore because,(unless it's on special clearance), they no longer sell items for a dollar. Thier lowest priced items are at least $1.25 and up.

I buy snacks there sometimes, but in some instances most grocery stores offer better value.

It's not $1 dollar anymore. $1.25 and bring in scanners where there will be no more cashiers. Unfortunately!
