This place has no customer service... Apparently I had a $19 bill from 3 years ago and it was from a toll that I didn't know that I had Because I have the ez pass. No one billed me. No one sent me an email. But when I went to go rent from them for the third time after The bill all of a sudden.....I had a do not rent to this customer flag on my account. So I was never told why. And never given the option to fix it by paying the $19 charge. I was told that even though I had placed my rental on hold a month prior called that morning to ensure my rental was still good and told nothing, I was not able to pay what was due to take my rental when i went to get it. I had to get a taxi and go to enterprise to be able to leave for my trip. Absolutely uncalled for unnecessary. And it was only a $19 charge. Insane

THEY LEFT ME STRANDED STATES AWAY!Terrible location.Terrible customer service.All around terrible experience. Go to the counter next to them.They gave me a dirty car.They left me stranded after somthing that wasn’t my fault and wouldn’t let me continue with the rental…. Yet hurtz in the other state let me rent a car with no problem??When I returned that vehicle to the original hurts in newbern I confronted them and now they are charging me extra fees on top of taking my deposit!!!Absolutely not okay and not how you should treat your clients. I will never go to hurtz again. They don’t even deserve a 1 star.

Received dirty vehicle at pick up, the windshield wiper fluid light was on, and the oil change light came on at pick up. The attendent who assisted me was friendly, but Kristen, the store manager, was completely unsympathetic and lacked emotional intelligence when informed of the situation after vehicle was returned. She only issued an insincere apology and had an "oh, well", smug, condescending attitude, and nothing more. She offered nothing to redeem the situation or correct it by stating there's nothing she could do. Why rent out a vehicle that technically wasn't ready? I made it clear at pick up that I was pressed for time and had to be at my destination by a certain time that evening. This location gives Hertz a bad name. I've rented from a Hertz in the past, but this has been the worst experience thus far. Absolutely, never again. ? ??????

Friendly staff, but got charged an additional fee a WEEK LATER,that I was never told about. Had to call my credit card company and dispute extra charge. I talked to 3 separate Hertz employees that had no idea why I was being charged the additional fee. Not happy

This was my first time renting from Hertz and I will say it was nice. April was very helpful in explaining everything. But the return process was very different. I got a phone call to remind me when my rental was due back, but when I got to the counter no one was there. I stood there and waited for about 10 minutes before I just filled out the paperwork and put tin the drop box. I guess I'd just rather have the a receipt in my hand than sent to me in my email.

Had a great rental experience through this location. With the gold membership I received a upgraded vehicle which was nice to get. Both service reps at the desk were very friendly and helpful for pickup and return. Had no issues at all!

I don’t think I got my hertz gold discount. When I contacted them first they said that they couldn’t fix it locally I had to call corporate. So I did and then corporate said I never picked up the rental and I replied that I was driving it! Then, they said since I already completed the rental, they wouldn’t change it, but I was like I contacted you before the rental period initially. . . Don’t book online, call next time I guess. Also, you have to pay the airport fees and parking is extra at this location:(

Rented a car to pick up my daughter from camp and return her home. You cannot rent for one way drives because this is a franchise not a corporate office. The clerk didnt' tell me that, there is no notice at the desk, nothing in the contract that you initial. Later they charged me a tons of fees to return the car. When I asked why they charged so many fees without my consent, I was told "Oh that's that corporate office". So they want things both ways one minute their a franchise and the next they have no control because its a corporate decision. Horrible experience. On top of that, the representatives are rude and unfriendly and treat you like a criminal. I definitely would not recommend this venue.
