Optimum is currently taking advantage of senior citizens throughout Craven County. Any company willing to operates in this manner will never have my business. $159 per month for ONLY basic cable… 50 channels. This is highway robbery and very dishonest.

Customer service is NON existent. On hold for 45 mins min for "my shitty router you supplied failed", but the convenience is online...when you're internet is off. I've been constantly harassed via call center guy screaming into his mic about why I dropped my service with them. MOVING TO ANOTHER COUNTRY where English isn't the main one isn't comprehended, thus harassed by phone calls. That's the fine print in using this company from my experience. I just wanted internet for an overcharged priced, since they're basically the only one in town to provide. YOU DONT SERVICE THAILAND, STOP CALLING ME.

Attention New Bern and Craven County residents. Optimum is extremely unethical and is currently taking advantage of the elderly and infirmed in this area.
My mother and father-in-law recently moved within the same senior living complex from independent living to memory care/nursing home due to an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. We moved their cable with them (same equipment box, same service, no changes at all except the apartment number), and their bill went from $78/month to over $170/month.
Optimum will not make any changes and will not honor previous discounts or do anything to assist in the matter. This company is very unprofessional and extremely shady in their business practices. Avoid them at all cost….what they’re doing should be illegal.
