I attempted to book a grooming appointment online for a particular time but had trouble so I contacted the store. The associate refused to book the available appointment that was convenient for me because she said that due to my dog’s breed, it would take longer to groom and that wouldn’t give the groomer enough time before closing. I explained his coat was shaved down before we adopted him and therefore it would not take as long as I was only requesting face and feet haircut. She still refused to schedule the appointment. Terrible customer service.

Visited my local petsmart in new bern nc to take my 13 year old shih tzu for thier grooming services. We ensured he was vaccinated and healthy in accordance with thier new policy posted below. We notified the groomer that he was just diagnosed with a slight heart murmur. The vet said we just need to keep an eye on him and put him on medication in the near future as a preventative measure.At which point we were denied services for what they stated was against thier policy. Any dog with heart issues is denied services. I asked the manager about thier policy and if thier was a waiver so they would not be responsible if something were to happen unexpectedly. He said yes however the groomer doesn't feel comfortable so we are still denying services. Thier policy says nothing of the sort only the listed conditions combined of 2 or more below And must be healthy.He is healthy with a condition he is being seen for. But they say they care about animals.... well ginney the groomer does not. I don't have the managers name as he was to rude to give it. They asked what his levels were and said we don't have a vet on staff and that was thuer excuss. I will not go to any petsmart again and will notify everyone I know about thier practices at this location.New policy petsmart? How about getting employes that do thier job.What do you look for during my pet’s check in?At check-in a safety-certified salon associate will perform a teeth-to-tail hands-on assessment of your pet. We will closely observe pets for any combination of the following:lethargyexcessive pantingexcessive droolingtrembling or shakingredness in eyesresistance to entering salon or going to kennel areaIf your pet is showing any two of these behaviors, we will not be able to perform the service at that time. Pet parents are welcome to stay in the store with their pet to see if the behaviors pass after 15 minutes. If not, we will gladly reschedule the appointment at a less busy time or recommend a veterinarian who can perform the service.Pets who have recently been vaccinated, have active infections or have underlying health issues are at higher risk of injury from stress. Older pets, those with special challenges, pets who have recently experienced stressful life changes or injuries are at higher risk of experiencing stress or aggravating a condition during grooming. Keep in mind, stress in pets can be cumulative, meaning a series of stressful situations can affect a pet’s health and well-being. Be sure to flag any special conditions with your groomer and note all pertinent information on the provided salon card.We did this and got told to go away so basically if your dog is facing special challenges they aren't willing to work with your animal.Can you imagine if some one told your grandmother no more salon visits cause she has a medical condition that is being taken care of by a doctor.

We didn't find the fur blow out dryer I was looking for, but a very pleasant employee was quick to ask if they could help me find anything, and suggested a different item.I didn't purchase though, because I really want the dryer for my GSD furball:) since we were already there we went and looked at their pets for sale. I have to say, they were all kept very clean and the whole store looked very nice ?

Groomer does not cut my dog's nails but I am still charged for it. Have to spend more money for someone else to do it. (It was included in the grooming charges) Will not go back again.
